That should have read: Just over 1/4 of his career. He played with Shaq 3 years I believe and James 4 years. So basically half his career he played with them and half of his years he didn't. However the years he played with Shaq it wasn't like having the Laker Shaq version. Wade was the best player on the team. So it is amazing he has never been the highest paid player on his team throughout his career. Shows how he has been a team first and caring more about winning.

Wasn't he on his rookie contract when he was with Shaq? So it would make sense that he wasn't the highest paid those couple of years. But overall, I agree with you.
July 8, 201610 yr Riley's ego got the best of him this time. I don't think so. I think once Durant said "No" he moved on from Wade and began looking towards the future.
July 9, 201610 yr I hate to see DWade finishing his career outside of Miami but it's probably a good thing for the Miami franchise. Hard to believe he was never the highest paid player while playing for the Heat but that's no reason to overpay an aging star. The Lakers did it and look how it's affected their franchise.
