Baptist Preacher Delivers a "Biblical" Response to Orlando Shooting. MUST Hear This!

Featured Replies

Pastor Roger Menendez of Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento delivers his sermon just hours after the shooting. I'm glad there are still some preachers that aren't afraid to preach the Word according to Scripture.(wink,wink). Preachers nowadays are too worried about ruffling feathers. Not Pastor Menendez..... Do yourself a favor and listen to this five minute snippet of his sermon on Sunday.

These Bible-believing preachers don't mince words. No beating around the bush here. Baptist preacher Steven Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist Church (Tempe, AZ)adds his two cents about the Orlando shooting. This guy touts himself as a Bible-believing Christian. He says the bad news about the shooting is that it will be used to push an agenda for gun control and an agenda against so-called "hate speech." According to Pastor Anderson , all that Bible-believing Christian preachers like himself are doing is preaching what the Bible says about homosexuality. How can that possibly be hate speech? This guy is precious !!!!

If you don't take five more minutes and listen to his pearls of wisdom, you'll miss out on something important. I'm so glad I grew up a strict Southern Baptist.

Religion..... :(

Christian Fundamentalist vs Islamic Fundamentalist ??? More similar than we'd like to admit?

Anything to kick Christianity in the teeth.

His theology is bad.

Even if we hold homosexuality as a sin, it's not any worse than the sins I regularly commit. Every single Christian is a sinner, not worthy of God in any capacity. Even the best of Christians, their works are dirty rags. That's why we needed Christ. His death paid out ransom because we can't be good enough. Can a homosexual be a Christian? Can a drug abuser? Can someone addicted to porn? Can a murderer? The answer is yes. To propose that these people were killed because of their sin doesn't make sense in that context. Every single person is a sinner. So therefore, he could preach the same exact sermon, with a few changes, if a church was shot up.

Not to mention he straight up lies about pedophilia and AIDS to help prove his point.

I still believe that Homosexuality and the Bible are incompatible. But shooting people in a nightclub is also incompatible with the Bible. I hate to see people die regardless of who they are.

@Science Friction, is your goal to get the controversial thread shutdown as well? This is baiting.

The guy has a point.

There are outliers (thankfully) in every religion, I'm guessing.

Not to be outdone by this type of hate-filled ignorant rhetoric, attention seekers Westboro Baptist Church immediately following the Orlando incident celebrated via their twitter account the nightclub shooting. Though they are despicable as well as ridiculous, it's what we've come to expect from them, and hardly anymore a shock.

According to them "God sent the shooter"...

Westboro Baptist Church: 'God Sent The Shooter' To Terrorize Orlando Gay Nightclub, Sing 'Shooters Keep Comin' Around'

@B-Ball-fan I met some of the westboro baptists about fifteen years ago. They were in Latonia protesting when city council passed a law. There are only about 20 people in the church (and probably between 50 and 60 teeth). I think they get extra funding from somewhere. I do not see how such a small congregation can afford all that travel considering I have never met anyone that supports them.

I'm just thankful for BPG and insightful post like this one . Funny how the people that need Christ the most are the blindest . And smartest as well.

It's a shame how Christians are showing no heart and sympathy towards those who were shot and killed, and towards those lost loved ones.

C'mon sportsguy , a video clip of a couple yahoo's doesn't mean they speak for everyone . just as the animal that killed those innocent people doesn't speak for all muslims . get real.

I think I may have to dislike this post. Seems like you are painting a picture with an awfully big brush.
