I still believe that Homosexuality and the Bible are incompatible. But shooting people in a nightclub is also incompatible with the Bible. I hate to see people die regardless of who they are.

 

Sin is incompatible with the Bible. Are you willing to believe that the shooters sin's are no worse than the homosexuals in the eyes of GOD? My daily sins are no worse or better than the other two. While the senseless loss of life is tragic withought the belief and forgiveness in JESUS it's all judged the same.

I'd be willing to bet that you're in the minority if you feel like mowing down 10s of defenseless people isn't worse than sleeping with someone of the same sex.

As harsh as it is to digest, It's judged with the same punishment. The acts are different and to men one seems more palatable than the other. To God both are sin regardless of the severity we place upon it. Does that mean I'm in the minority who understood what the bible said on sin?

Kind of an odd question to ask but yes I believe all sin is evil and all sin is forgivable. But I do believe that God recognizes the differences between a mass shooting and me losing my temper. Both are sins but God can see the difference.

If you don't believe in his son and repent, you both go to hell. Harsh but the truth. There is no pass on a "lesser" discretion. I pray daily for the evil in my soul to be expunged, and to be forgiven, knowing my sins disqualify me and I am not worthy. I've never shot anyone and I would rot in Hell next to Manteen if I didn't repent. I'm not going to continue to preach. I didnt think of gay people being shot. I thought of those poor souls who just went through hell in there. It's not mine to judge and I except and have love for all. I prayed for their forgiveness. Haven't prayed for his. Excellent question. I think there may be different levels. But I am not sure.

Menendez is a turd and does not espouse biblical teaching that I follow and see in the New Testament. Any and all Christians should mourn this hateful act and what souls may have died lost and unsaved never having the chance now to repent for losing their life in a horrible, hate filled way.

I don't begin to think I know the mind of God. I don't know if he sees the difference or not.

My two cents worth:

 

I'm not a biblical scholar, I'm a Catholic, a Christian. I don't know everything there is to know. I'm imperfect, in my religion and as a Christian and as a human being. But what I saw in the first video (didn't see the second one since it's been removed from YouTube) isn't anything I recognize in my religion. I don't believe for a second that Christ would utter the things that guy did. I don't think Christ would condemn anyone for being born gay, nor do I. I don't agree with everything my church teaches, and I'm certainly far from an expert on the bible, but I can't fathom the degree of hate as what I saw in that video based solely on the fact that those in the LGBT community are different than heterosexuals. Using your religion for such a vile purpose as spreading hatred toward those you don't agree with isn't Christianity and is no better than Islamic extremists or any other extremist that want's those that are different dead or are happy when they're murdered. I know my God isn't hateful.
