OJ Doc Starts Saturday

OJ kill Shapiro too?

Oh, is he still alive? My mistake.

I knew Cochran passed, thought Shaprio did too. Maybe I was confusing him with Robert Kardashian's death.

He is still alive.

I'm still more shocked about the Korean lady getting probation and community service for killing the teen who was walking out of her store than I am about OJ getting off.

Me too. With that and Rodney King, it's no wonder the perfect storm blew up. The prosecution certainly made a few mistakes but they almost had no chance.

Even though I witnessed it at the time I'm still STUNNED at the people during OJ's fleeing. It was like a big party.

I do think OJ did it, but watching all of this, I can definitely understand why someone might say they have a little doubt. Hard to trust the LAPD and Fuhrman during those times.

One correction to your post.

He certainly DID it.

Prosecution screwed up PLUS the the history of LAPD in the black community allowed for the verdict - as bad as it was.

Shapiro is actually worth over $50,000,000. Co-founded Legal Zoom and an online shoe/accessory company.

It was a referendum upon the LAPD, and that was it. There was a mountain of evidence against OJ. The defense had no evidence in their favor besides past racial misconduct. Had the LAPD done any of what was said, the cover-up would have involved an array of people.

Just passed the 3/4 mark of Episode 4. Fantastic documentary, but I'll admit, I got a little weak in the stomach when listening to their theory of the crime moment by moment, and the photo of Nicole's throat.

Me too. It seemed perfect.

The Prosecution should have done a little more research on Fuhrman before letting him sink whatever case they had left. What a nut job. The LAPD was just one mistake after another. I know it can be a part of the cycle of DV but dang Nicole going back to OJ multiple times just makes you mad/sad because we all know what happens.

I thought it was a good documentary but not great. I've enjoyed other 30 for 30s more.

Watching this it is easy to see how the jury arrived at that verdict that at the time I just didn't understand.

Agree but they should have looked at the evidence and blocked out the nonsense the defense threw out there.

Systemic racism isn't nonsense. In a judicial landscape that requires proof beyond reasonable doubt, the LAPD failed miserably.

That's the point of the entire series. OJ did it. The LAPD was so miserable at doing their job that he got off. They regularly planted evidence to get convictions, and it is well documented.

I am certain OJ killed Nicole and Ron. I'm also certain he should have been acquitted given how the case played out. American Justice...

Darden was the biggest "Hey, we have a black friend" example in history. Probably would have been famous for the "right" reasons if he didn't make OJ try on the glove.

Let's just call it what it is. The prosecution was bad on an epic level and the LAPD got exposed for being the LAPD. 1+1= a murderer getting set free...
