I would try to figure out the totality of the immediate situation and if we are getting nuked by our own government.

 

Then it would be who are they, where did they come from, and what do they want from us?

I don't know how often you read, or even if that is a hobby of yours, but you should 100% read "Wild Fire" by Nelson DeMille. OUTSTANDING book, and it will leave you with a lot to think about. I highly recommend it.

I feel like all I do is read all day but I know that is not what you mean.

 

I watch a lot of Science Fiction so nothing surprises me too much but I will check the reviews of that book out.
