PP ... what do you make of this quote from former AG Gonzalez:

“If [Trump’s] criticism is solely based on Curiel’s race, that is something voters will take into account in deciding whether he is fit to be president."

How does that quote align with this thread, the article title and the former AG's opinion on this?

Selective quotation to reinforce a position? Lets take a look at the rest :

If, however, Trump is acting from a sincere motivation to protect his constitutional right to fair trial, his willingness to exercise his rights as an American citizen and raising the issue even in the face of severe criticism is surely also something for voters to consider.”

Bringing this issue into the campaign was just not smart. He does make too many remarks that are not thought through. Trump is too unfiltered, and Hillary is too scripted. As I said in another thread, I guarantee you with HRC as POTUS, this country will go into deep recession. The signs are very much there already.

Alberto Gonzalez resigned in disgrace as U.S. attorney general in '07 after presiding over the firings of several U.S. attorneys who refused White House directives to prosecute political enemies. He's simply another loser politician -- along with Christie, Newt, Palin -- trying to get in Trump's good graces by deflecting the focus of Trump's bigoted comments against the Hispanic judge.

Do you work for a living? Do you support a family?

State your point simply -- as I did -- and quit being cutesy with the questions. While you're at it, change the thread headline to "Disgraced attorney general ..."

Feeling more cantankerous than usual?

I thought that Trump, after winning the GOP nomination, was supposed to transition from a white-right fear monger to a kinder-gentler candidate who would be more acceptable to blacks, Hispanics and women. No doubt that was one reason why he received the overwhelming support of the BGP debating society in a recent preference poll.

Did someone forget to tell Trump that he needed to change?

Trump can't change, he is who he is.

The Washington Post , enough said about sources. :sarcastic:

I guess unless it was the Washington Times it just had no chance of being right.

Says the person that defends EVERYTHING Hillary says or does.

Slightly hypocritical, don't you think?

Come on, man, no matter my leanings Big Don's ramblings in this case really are too far.
