Bedoya is a good player, but you have Jones and Bradley playing a similar style. We need creativity out of there. It's amazing to see what two more years as a Bundesliga starter has done for Brooks just since the 2014 World Cup. He's a really talented center back.

He was getting some hate back then even after his header in the WC, but got even more heat last year. This summer though he has been a monster, really coming into form nicely.

June 12, 201610 yr I'm not a soccer X and O man but it looked like Paraguay outplayed the USA last night, even in the first half before the guy got ejected. It seemed that they were in USA territory all game. The USA goalie saved the day.

June 13, 201610 yr The soccer gods have a way of evening things out. Only reason Brazil didn't lose to Ecuador in their first game was a missed call. It's been a little sad to see what's become of Brazil in the years since they won that Confederations Cup. I know this was a secondary roster, but it's becoming part of a really disappointing trend for Brazil. They need a complete reformation.

June 13, 201610 yr Thoughts on USA vs. Ecuador? This seems like a legit chance to advance to the semifinals The team we played two weeks ago was a shadow of what Ecuador is really capable of. Like the last few games, I think Ecuador will give us their best shot right out of the gate. If they grab an early goal like Columbia, we're in trouble. If we can withstand it and grab a few early chances on the counter, it might force them back to cover rather than press. If we can turn that into an early goal like against Costa Rica, we'll be in the driver's seat.
June 13, 201610 yr I bet Brazil agrees with you That is exactly why I posted it, and this weekend at the FCC match having the same discussion after watching both some flops as well as some cheap shots. It just seems that 1 official on the field and 1 on each sideline watching 20 people in a large area seems a bit short of numbers.
