June 20, 201610 yr What the hell is it with Mexican fans and throwing trash? Better than throwing cups of puke and urine  (true story by the way)
June 20, 201610 yr Better than throwing cups of puke and urine  (true story by the way) I heard about that as well.
June 20, 201610 yr Author The final four team rankings... 1, 3, 5 and 31 I like this post as the sequel to this post, "...The FIFA rankings are questionable at best. We will see how they do the next couple of weeks..." :bunny:
June 20, 201610 yr Author Does the U.S. have ANY shot against Argentina? IMHO, virtually none. A LOT would have to go very right for the Red, White, and Blue. If di Maria is unable to play, while not swinging the pendulum in our favor, it does give us a little cause for optimism. That said, we are missing a ton of guys that have been key contributors due to accumulated yellows (so dumb), so we are going to have some patch-work out there to be sure.

June 20, 201610 yr Author So the over/under for Messi goals is 2?:wideyed: I worry more about Messi setting up a bevy of teammates for goals, more so than the ones he may finish himself.
June 20, 201610 yr Argentina is a different animal. I want to believe in a miracle but that's exactly what it would be. We would have to have some crazy stuff happen...they go down a man early, we are handed a penalty kick and convert, etc. Even then, it would be a small miracle
June 20, 201610 yr Given that Wood, Bedoya, and Jones are all out, here's my look at the best eleven Klinsy can put out against Argentina. GK: Guzan DF: Yedlin DF: Cameron DF: Brooks DF: Besler M: Zusi M: Bradley M: Johnson FW: Zardes FW: Wondolowski FW: Dempsey This probably won't happen. The best defensive eleven almost certainly includes Beckerman and he'll probably pull Besler back out and put Johnson at left back again. But this is a veteran eleven that won't screw around against Argentina and might be able to do some of that old-fashioned heroic defending we used to be famous for.
June 20, 201610 yr The whole idea of having to sit a match because of too many yellows is absurd. That's a rule that needs to be eliminated.

June 20, 201610 yr The whole idea of having to sit a match because of too many yellows is absurd. That's a rule that needs to be eliminated. Sorry UKMF ... I hate to generalize, but another American who wants to change the game ... it's not our game to change! Our lads knew the rules before the game, and made bonehead moves that jeopardize our team. Theres nothing wrong with the rules.
June 20, 201610 yr It seems to me like players with one yellow card would treat it like basketball players with 4 fouls. Instead, we go out and foul away again. Pretty crazy really.
