The whole idea of having to sit a match because of too many yellows is absurd. That's a rule that needs to be eliminated.

Sorry UKMF ... I hate to generalize, but another American who wants to change the game ... it's not our game to change! Our lads knew the rules before the game, and made bonehead moves that jeopardize our team.

Theres nothing wrong with the rules.

I have to go with UKMF on this one. You can get unlucky and end up with a yellow. The idea that one mistimed tackle can keep a guy out of one of the biggest games of his career is problematic to me. Two yellows in four games and you're potentially out for a major tournament semifinal? Not for me.

For these major tournaments I'd like to see them stretch it to three bookings before a suspension.

Four our situation, the Bedoya suspension is on Klinsmann as far as I'm concerned. He clearly looked gassed for 10 minutes and Klinsmann refused to pull him even though he was sitting on that yellow. Sure enough, eventually those tired legs could make a

full speed challenge and he came in wrong.

Are you saying Copa America (tournament) is being played under a different set of rules than a regular FIFA tournament?? If so, I'll fall on my sword, and apologize. If not, then everyone knew those rules coming in, and the severe repercussions of their actions. Whether JK or the players, they need to better manage their actions.

Of course they knew the rules coming in and of course it's being played under the same rules (although there are differences such as not playing extra time following a regulation draw and proceeding straight to penalties). I'm advocating for a change in the rules in the future. Read an article just this morning by an English fellow advocating for the same rule change in the Euros and World Cup. The rule is unnecessarily strict.

I don't know. It seems similar to Draymond Green having to sit a game because he accumulated four flagrant one fouls. I don't have any problem with it other than what is a yellow card to one ref isn't necessarily a yellow card to the next.

The main reason I don't get on board with that comparison is that in basketball almost all of those fouls are done with intent. As Getslow mentioned, a lot of yellows aren't intentional, they just happen due to a mistimed tackle or challenge.

Game day is here. Is there a miracle brewing?

I haven't been this fired up in years. I know the reality of the situation and I don't care. I believe

Did Messi get on the wrong plane? :lol2:

Let's hope the Outlaws are in full throat, and will our boys to victory!!

Who is in goal ... Guzan or Howard?

Has to be Guzan I would think

We finally will have most of the country watching tonight. We simply cannot come out and do what Mexico did the other night.
