Campbell County 24 Augusta 0 (10th Region Tournament)

Featured Replies

Nothing wrong with the way Campbell handled this game. As far as Augusta props to them for making the region. Let me state that the district they are in is a draw district for this reason. To give teams a chance to do something they would otherwise have no shot at. Athletic directors for Augusta and St Pat have there kids best interest at heart when voting for a draw instead of seeding. Tie breaker for seeded districts is usually run differential so that promotes running the score up. I see nothing mentioned of the other districts that are draw. Check and you will see that the district with Madison Central and Southern is draw as well.

At some point it's not worth making it to the region if you're going to lose 24-0.

He (Waggoner) is a senior who gets very little playing time.

Was it senior Aaron Wagner?

Is this where I go crazy about blowouts in the playoffs? Too many teams allowed into the playoffs? How does a 1-12 team even get into the playoffs? The KHSAA is a joke?etc., etc. OK. Enough. I am starting a separate thread on it and we can talk about it there.

Yes, Aaron Wagner pitched the final few innings for the Camels.

No idea sportfan said Wagner played, I misspelled his last name, I thought it had a different spelling but I was wrong.

When was the Field goal kicked and how long?

No. Nor did there seem to be an outrage over the umps calling Campbell players out when they were safe by 5 steps. Or the strike zone being wider than Robin Kelsh's ego

Oh, snap. What does that mean? I thought Kelsch was a basketball guy.

Thank you!

Comparable to the craziness of the first round of high school playoffs to lose 62-0, and set an unofficial record by not making a single tackle in the first half. KHSAA needs to make some calls to protect the integrity of the game. Until they man up, every school adm must vote for what is best for their school. Any other vote is simply not doing their job.

^ Umm, what kind of answer is that!!! Everyone keeps throwing out the KHSAA as the ruling entity! No there not, the School Admins are. The KHSAA works for the school admins, thus any competition rule, let me rephrase "Every" competition rule, IS dictated by the school Admins!!! You hear this whining about the NFL, or NBA or KHSAA and people think that there is this independent entity out there! BS guys, the entity in this case IS THE SCHOOLS!!!! So people, the KHSAA cannot DO ANYTHING that the SCHOOL ADMINS don't already dictate!!!

Sorry but I think they can do something. They can force a pitch county on every school in Kentucky, so why can't the force seeding?

Because I am pretty sure the KHSAA in their by-laws states the school administrators vote on seeding vs non seeding

Corporate bylaws can be changed. Happens every day.

And I repeat, it's the school admins who will vote for it. So, when we say KHSAA can make changes like seeding and pitch counts, those decisions were made by the school admins on committee. So, it's back to the schools. We give the sanctioning body way too much credit for what they can do. It's the reason why there is a middle man, so the schools can make the decision, and let the sanctioning body get paid very well to be the puppet fall guy to the public
