I know it is a sore subject for so many people but schools like Trinity, X, Highlands, Bowling Green, etc. raise the bar for all KY schools.

 

Along with what you say, back in 2011 and the years around there when Trinity was almost playing that type of schedule, it wore on the players, coaches and especially the parents. Sounds great but not realistic at all.

 

Pretty much have to be a boarding school to do that. Also Trinity would no longer have affiliation with the KHSAA which would prohibit many schools from playing them.

Imagine that no Colerain or St. X Ohio on the schedule.

Exactly, it just doesn't fit into the overall mission of high school education and athletics.

Love that the Rocks schedule the TN games. I will be at the Brentwood game. Great atmosphere! Only thing I dislike is that the Male game is on the same night as the BG vs Owensboro game, so can't make that one. Impressed McCracken County stepped up to scrimmage the Rocks. If you want to be the best you have to play the best. Would have benefited them much more last year IMO, but great experience for those guys to come to St Matthews to play.

Just a question as I don't know much of how the scheduling works, But why is PRP on here? Is it they were the only team who would schedule powerhouse trinity?

Seriously, though the new district and traditional foes (St. X, Male, Brentwood, and Ensworth) take up eight out of ten weeks. I would love it if Trinity had been able to schedule one of those two for the remaining two slots, but it didn't work out. I am confused why you think Trinity would be afraid to play a team that beat in 2014 (Colerain) and another that they only lost to by three points (Moeller).

At least T doesn't have to play Simon Kenton. LOL

I think it is more the fact that they don't feel it is in their best interest to play Moeller the last game of the regular season than not play them at all.

Good schedule for the Rocks. I know a lot of fans liked when T was playing a more regional schedule, but this is good for them.

 

Allows for other teams within the state to measure their program, and gain playing experience for the young Rocks.

McCracken scrimmaged Male last year in Etown. I was impressed with their fan support coming all that way for a scrimmage. Unfortunately, they couldn't compete with Male on any of the three levels. I think it's a win for the McCracken program as the kids get to realize early in the season of what playoff competition will be like.

Totally agree Ham Bone! McCracken visited BG for the last game of the regular season last year and brought a BIG crowd all the way from Paducah with them. I was impressed with that. Think they will be outmatched here but like you said it will give them a measuring stick early so the coaches should have their attention going into the season.
