March 30, 201610 yr How true is that post. Gave the football coaches permission to ride my kids like a pony. Use one foot, two if necessary borrow another to keep them inline and get the most out of them. I want my kids challenged under difficult circumstances. Some parents coddle their kids instead of raising them, its counter productive and you're raising spoiled self centered brats when you do that. Feel bad for the kids who were there and wanted to play and represent themselves in the right way. Always the few who ruin it for the many. Be careful, posts like this can get you phone numbers. Well said for the record!
March 30, 201610 yr I've had encounters with her. Changed schools because of her. And that school would be? And do you know the player?
March 30, 201610 yr So if you were just finishing up a disagreement with a player over strikes and pitch count and you put the ball though the machine before said player was ready to continue and that ball hit the player in question you don't see anything wrong with that? Absolutely. It is the player's responsibility to be ready to practice!
March 30, 201610 yr It's hard to control a player when the parents get involved. If you've been around sports you know there are always the ones that have the perfect kids that do no wrong! :thumb:
March 30, 201610 yr Trust me...if you knew the player and her mom, you would believe the coach. 100% right on this one!
March 30, 201610 yr Absolutely. It is the player's responsibility to be ready to practice! I don't follow your logic.
March 30, 201610 yr This is no different than a soccer goalie getting hit in the head because of not being prepared to practice or prepared. The player is responsible and accountable for being ready to practice and focused.

This should not be tolerated in the first place. If a player challenged me as a coach, especially in front of the rest of the team, either the player, or myself would be gone the next day. Certainly, if a player did this to an official, there would be suspensions forthcoming.

March 30, 201610 yr My daughter played for Conner. Had two conferences with the athletics director about bullying and favoritism. Nothing was done so we changed schools. It's blatant and this coach is known by coaches all over the area for being a problem. Ask the Cooper coach. Ask coaches from Villa and St.Henry's. She's notorious and not in a good way.
March 30, 201610 yr What I really don't understand is a junior in high school who has been on the Conner team since 7th grade, Gets hit by a ball and that's a problem. I'm pretty sure she's been hit more than once especially playing catcher.
