March 30, 201610 yr Why does everyone assume the coach is blameless? You are correct. Players were questioned by the police. From the outside looking in it appears the powers that be at Conner (AD, Principal, and Super) sided with the player in question and not the coach. What can you tell us about that?

March 30, 201610 yr From the players I've heard from, coach told her multiple times to come on. I was told the same thing. But that doesn't mean the coach was blameless in what happened. Its a bad way to start the season.
March 30, 201610 yr From the players I've heard from, coach told her multiple times to come on. What does that mean? We need more context.
March 30, 201610 yr The player was messing around at the plate and not getting ready and the coach told her multiple times to get ready and coach put a ball though the machine and it hit her. Not saying who is to blame but let me remind you this player and her family have had problems with other players who eventually sick of it and switched schools.
March 30, 201610 yr Bingo correct me if I'm wrong but if there has been multiple issues with her. One of them cost Conner a very very good pitcher in Jessie Roark, who would be a key for the Cougars this season. I don't think it's the coach who should of walked away.
March 30, 201610 yr Sonce nobody wants to clarify what really happened should we assume the coach intended on sending a message by hitting the girl with the pitch?
March 30, 201610 yr I wonder with the coaching job open if it will pull coach Sproles away from highlands. Or if you bring a parent in like Chris Crawford.

Was there a disagreement between the player and the coach immediately prior to the player being hit?
March 30, 201610 yr Was there a disagreement between the player and the coach immediately prior to the player being hit? I'm sure all I know is that after being hit and a couple of words the player yelled she quit.
March 30, 201610 yr Sonce nobody wants to clarify what really happened should we assume the coach intended on sending a message by hitting the girl with the pitch? Not the coaches fault the machine threw a curve ball.
March 30, 201610 yr This will be interesting to see how this turns out for the rest of this season. This is a shame that is a very nice team without a leader right now. My only question would be did she not have any control of the players?
