March 24, 201610 yr If true that sucks...for many reasons. As a Rams fan I'm more mad about the wasted draft pick. Rams hard on Hard Knocks this year. ..maybe it's punishment for cutting him. :lol2:

And I would have to think this has to be some kind of huge legal no no for the NFL to collude with a team in such a manner when acquiring draft picks. We definitely need an independent third party investigative unit to reign the NFL in. I can't believe I am typing this but I am to the point where I believe the NFL would benefit from government oversight and regulation.

They are just as corrupt.

I would of done the same thing if it was my decision. It's a private company making the best decision for its company.
March 24, 201610 yr I am trying to figure out what would be in it for the NFL? They wanted so desperately for an openly gay player to get drafted they made this deal? Draft picks are highly sought after commodities to just throw away a pick which is why it doesn't make sense from the Rams' side. He did get a fair shot at the league but proved he couldn't cut it.

March 24, 201610 yr I think it is plausible that the NFL notified all eligible teams, not just the Rams, that if they draft Sam, they will not be on Hard Knocks. The NFL/HBO would be chomping at the bit for that type of drama and no team would want anything to do with it for the added distraction on top of the Hard Knocks distraction. I can't see a true deal being brokered for just one team that says, "St. Louis. You will draft Sam, in the 7th round..."
