March 23, 201610 yr Cronin is not leaving UC. This is his way of trying to leverage UC into paying his assistants more cash, and get the arena renovations started. He isn't going to UNLV. From what I have heard, the UNLV people aren't overwhelmed by Cronin in the first place. UNLV is just panicked at this point. You don't negotiate $3 million contracts with people you aren't impressed with.

March 23, 201610 yr Based off what? Cronin is under contract with Under Armour, Under Armour wants the UNLV contact (they are currently under Nike.) Under Armour is willing to fork over a large part of the bill for the $3M a year. Money talks.
