Nancy Reagan Passes Away

Featured Replies

Ms. Reagan and Ms Bush(Bar') didn't exactly chum around. The best Ms Reagan could say of Bar :

" I never got to know her very well. Our lives just took different tracks." :) (Wonder what she said to Ronnie about Bar?)

I think Bill O'Reilly did a great job of describing the relationship between Ronald and Nancy Reagan in "Killing Reagan". She was fiercely defensive of her husband, to a fault at times. She showed her love for him even more when she took care of him late in his life when he had dementia. Hopefully they are back together again today. RIP...

I agree, you would. You are a very likeable conservative and that's hard to find. Just one of the reasons I am so fond of you. To be fair, though, I have not been critical of the former First Lady. In fact, I have said more good things about her than 99% of the people on this forum, who have been noticeably silent in their praise. I mean it took a liberal to even start a topic about her.

You're right, my post was in between them. As far as "liberal" starting the thread, he just beat us to the punch, don't think his political affiliation had anything to do with it. Mcpapa has his finger on the pulse of current events!

As usual, I accomplish my goal(my only one)- to get a rise out of people like you !

:lol2: Thanks for always being so willing to play along.

Don't flatter yourself this didn't give me a rise, just pointing out the inaccuracy of your post.

I think it more that you got duped and now as always you are just trying to spin it...have a good day.

I always get a rise out of you. You just can't stay away, even though you've promised to numerous times. Keeps me entertained, though. I google the quote and see that there's two or three presenting it as gospel and thirty presenting it as fake. I conclude it was most likely untrue but almost certain to get you and other conservative stalwarts to chime in, being the defenders of God , Joel Osteen and Conservative principles that you are. In fact, a leftist friend of mine(and BGP member) texted me last night saying that none of the righties on here had even mentioned Nancy's passing. I told him that I'd make sure they chimed in today. To quote your hero: Mission Accomplished.

I know you think you are being clever and funny, but it comes off as sad and miserable. I feel sorry for you.

RIP Nancy Reagan.

(It would be delightful to keep this thread about the Former First Lady, instead of personal agendas. That would be the mature thing to do.)

Exactly. I was thinking it reminded me of when my 7 year old used to try to spin when he got tricked and ticked off. Anything to save face.

Like, like, like!

I've said almost overwhelming good things about Ms. Reagan. The closest neutral comment that I made was that she and Barbara Bush didn't get along. That is very well documented. Not sure what was being interpreted as me taking shots at her. She clearly did something right with her son Ron, Jr. , as well.

Oh, I don't know, maybe it's because you took a well intended thread and tried to make it an attack on "righties", called her "the beloved wife of their GOP GOD", made a false claim that she endorsed Hillary Clinton, made a catty comment that Barbara Bush couldn't stand her, admitted that you were trying get a rise out of certain people. All in a thread that's about the death of a former First Lady. It's childish, boorish and poorly timed.

It's the same kind of garbage he does in every single thread. Not sure how he continuously gets away with it.

Agree!

I don't get that kind of over the top bitterness. :idunno:

Even folks who have posted about three times in twelve years in the political forum have awakened from hibernation. Nice !!!! :)
