I remember his assassination attempt and his speech after the Challenger disaster. I also remember Mrs. Reagan being a support at his side. They were good people. I hated it that Alzheimers robbed Pres. Reagan of his last years...and hated it that Mrs. Reagan had to lose him in that way.

March 7, 201610 yr What I did appreciate about Ms Reagan was her passionate advocacy for stem cell research. She worked along with Ted Kennedy in helping to change the policies that GWB instituted on SC research and funding. If I recall, she either called President Obama or sent him a note thanking him for his efforts.

March 7, 201610 yr Reagan voted for FDR four times !!! When there was talk of taking FDR's image off of the dime and replacing it with Ronnie's mug, Nancy objected, saying Ronnie wouldn't have approved.
