February 7, 201610 yr And STILL anyone of the R's left is better then the 2 that are up for the gimme party nomination.
February 7, 201610 yr I thought Trump was terrible tonight and I thought Rubio did well overall. Talk about saying nothing .... that is Trump. There is zero substance there. That was Jeb's best debate that I have seen. Still not strong but his best effort. Christie had a strong performance. Kasich was up and down. I am surprised at how he often stumbles while trying to make his points. He is such a political veteran I would not expect him to look unsure as often as he does. Cruz was just there. Nothing impressive and nothing bad.
February 7, 201610 yr Author Just shows to all of BGP what I've been saying for months. You are terrified of Rubio, you know he's the one who can stop your prophet. Of course they were all going to attack Rubio, you punch up, not down. Once you solve the Benghazi emails you can start dancing. Until then, you still have millions of Americans with questions and a 74 year old socialist to deal with. Until last night  You nominate him...4 more years of democrats no doubt. He will get annihilated by Hillary or Bernie. Period.
February 7, 201610 yr Until last night  You nominate him...4 more years of democrats no doubt. He will get annihilated by Hillary or Bernie. Period. Now THAT is funny:lol2::lol2:
February 7, 201610 yr Christie was the winner last night. Thought that the questioners were effective because the questions, on the whole, were short. Also would like to see the closing statements eliminated. Waste of time.
February 7, 201610 yr A review of the debate. Not favorable to Sen Rubio. GOP presidential debate: Chris Christie knocks Marco Rubio off balance at GOP debate - POLITICO
February 7, 201610 yr Christie nailed Rubio on that one. Christie was one of the better performers last night - maybe the best. I thought Trump was the worst. Trump almost got booed off the stage during his face off moment with Jeb Bush. Trump appeals to the low intellect in all of us - macho sound bites and whining with no thoughtful way to solve problems. Edited February 7, 201610 yr by Voice of Reason
February 7, 201610 yr I didn't watch the debate, but almost everything I've read about it highlighted this moment. If Rubio fails to win the nomination it will be remembered the same way Rick Perry's "oops" moment is. It's too hard to say whether it will be as damning, but not only was it an awful performance by Rubio - he walks right into this, inexplicably - but Christie's attack hinges on the exact weakness of a Rubio candidacy: He's a young, fresh face and a talented speaker who has managed to say the right things to appeal to all varieties of Republicans, and that's it.
February 7, 201610 yr Rubio was terrible in that 1st hour, but luckily he had a really strong finish. I'd say he won the last half of the debate, but his first half was so horrible people will be remembering that for a while. This was the first debate where I didn't really come away hating Trump. Outside of the Bush jab, he really controlled himself, even though he had little substance in anything he said. I thought Kasich did the best out of anyone last night.
February 7, 201610 yr I thought Rubio came across as delightfully unrehearsed lol. That moment was more bizarre than the overhand cornhole.

Sounds like Obama in 2008.
February 7, 201610 yr Author Rubio raised $600,000 last night, the most money of any single debate night. All in water bottles and towels to wipe his forehead. Cringeworthy.
February 8, 201610 yr All in water bottles and towels to wipe his forehead. Cringeworthy. How much are your Billary shirts going for now? Lol
February 8, 201610 yr Since last summer I felt the two best candidates for the Republicans were Rubio or Kasich. I now think Rubio is going to be the next President. If he doesn't win, it will be because of bad moves by him (Can you say Sarah Palin?). It is all there before him to take it all the way.
