I think the republicans should be proud. ALL of the candidates actually showed up, none stayed away in a hissy fit. Only ONE of the candidates repeated the same line over and over. The crowd only booed SOME of the time. And MOST of the candidates for president of the United States managed to walk onto the stage and to their podium without looking like a complete idiot.

Won't be long before they are walking and chewing gum and able to respond to their own names.

They showed a piece on FoxNews about how Christie had rehersed, or canned, sound bites that he used over and over. It showed him in about 10 campaign speeches where he said badically the same thing about the advantage of a governor leading the nation over a senator. The only thing different in each scene was the clothes he was wearing. Lol. He hammered Rubio for something he does himself. Heck, all candidates do it. The disappointing thing is in Rubio's case the national media (some of them) jumped on it like crazy and ran with it like it was a major story.

I wish I had a dollars or every time Christie said "as a former federal prosecutor." :ylsuper:

I compare it to Cam Newton. Cam was supposed to be Superman and save the day for the panthers, but that didn't happen in the national spotlight. Like Cam, Rubio had a chance to be the young savior in the national spotlight and he got pummeled by a old men.

We will see what today brings. I am hopeful that Rubio will do well.
