Peyton's last roundup vs the new gungslinger in town will be the overriding story line of this one. Not a big fan of either team so I'll watch until half and call it a night again this year.

I think it may be over by half time. I just don't think the Broncos can do enough on offense to keep up. The Panthers won't put up 49 like they did this week against Denver's D, but if they are up 2 scores at half it is over.

Gotta go with Carolina, but never underestimate the power of the forehead.

I am picking the Broncos 17-16 in a great game. A couple years ago I thought the Broncos would smack Seattle with that record breaking offense, and was I wrong, they locked up those WR's and laid the smack down on the Broncos. I think they can get to Cam with 3 guys and drop 8, that takes his running away. The key in this game will be Peyton and him not turning it over. The corners and safety's are studs for the Panther's, Peyton's arm strength is not very good. Von Miller is the best player on the field in my opinion, and him and CAM will be fun to watch.

"This one's for Peyton."

On paper, Carolina should roll. History does show when you pit the #1 defense vs. the #1 offense, the defense generally wins. For whatever that is worth.

I think that D keeps them in the game the whole way. The ability to rush 3 and get pressure is a huge advantage.

I am a long time Bronco fan, but I am afraid the Panthers will be too much. I don't think Denver's defense will be able to defend Newton, unless he has a really bad day. Denver's offense hasn't been overly impressive. I think Denver's only chance is to win the turnover battle decisively and hang on.

On the season, Denver has rushed 3 guys 28 times. Yesterday was 14 of those and an aberration to how they normally play.

I'll say this about Denver's defense, they are very opponent specific with their defensive game plans. The way they defended Pittsburgh was schematically different than the way they defended New England. I'm certain with 2 weeks to prepare, they'll have a good one dialed up against Carolina. Still not sure it will be enough.

My mind says Carolina but my heart wants Peyton to get the win, especially since it's Super Bowl 50. Can Miller and the Denver defense bring down Newton? Will be interesting and hopefully entertaining to see what game plan Denver brings on defense.

Opposing QBs had a 54 passer rating this year when targeting CB Josh Norman. That was the lowest passer rating against any CB in the NFL.

They struggled against a healthy Ben and Williams during the regular season. Of course, Carolina doesn't have a Brown who will catch 15 balls. They do, however, have Olson and he is a HUGE weapon b/c it will be tough to keep a spy on Cam while Olson splits the safeties. Somebody will have to drop deeper with him.

Panthers win this fairly easy, say 31-10. I just don't think the Broncos can score against a pretty stout Carolina "D".

Cam is just a bear to defend. If you don't give up a defensive player for him, you are toast. He is a n excellent passer, but if I could, I'd make him beat me with his arm. Best chance you have against him.

All comes down to the ground game for Carolina. They've rushed for over 100 yards something like 31 straight games. If they do that, no chance for Denver. Denver has to make them one-dimensional to have a shot, and with Cam, that's going to be incredibly difficult.

I'll say Carolina 28-17.
