You are very correct! Weyer was able to knock down those same shots against Cooper, so I wouldn't call them "low percentage" as some are saying. People are quick to down a great player when he has a bad night. That officiating crew called over 20 fouls just in the first half alone......i'm just saying.

So, did they call too many fouls or, as others have said, did they not call enough?

I thought the crew was fine. I was sitting with @Lawnboy13 and some very nice NewCath guys, and while we wondered about a few calls, I don't recall anything egregious.

Not picking on FanofMany, but I chuckle when you get posts saying they "let them play too physical" and a subtle "they called too much" in the same thread.

Maybe officiating wasn't the deciding factor.

Relax. He has certainly had more than one good game this year.

He backs it up against NCC and I think his words have some merit.

If NCC didn't like him yapping they had a couple of choices : shut him up by stopping him from putting up 16 or hammer him for yapping. Sounds like they chose option 3 which was to let him do his thing.

Why relax I'm stating my opinion. He runs his mouth for what just play the game. The game against Wilmington the kid that scored 38 against him Flood was running his mouth did that work no. That kid will be playing for UC next year why Flood will be playing in a Rec League running his mouth. I'm just not a big fan of that stuff especially when you are just a role player for your team the past 2 years.

In the first half I saw a lot of ticky tacky calls being called by 1 particular official and then there was some serious non basketball contact that they just let go.

Again. It didn't appear to bother NCC.

Secondly, if Andy is going to talk to a D1 kid built like a pro why wouldn't he talk to others? He doesn't discriminate.

It was the same result last year to.

I think if you check the stats from the CovCath and Holmes games at Nku last year you will see McDonald had 18 points in each game and Weyer was in double figures both games so I don't think going inside was the problem in those games.

That's funny

And the results were?

It was the same result last year to.

We didn't watch the same games last year.

Let's just be clear on one thing: Weyer is no Darius Miller.

No kidding. That is the point. If a player of that ability changes his approach in the course of the game to get a W, then everyone needs to be willing to.

Flat footed, out of rhythm threes with a hand in your face and fade away 17 footers from the baseline are low percentage shots. Basketball 101...

Did CCH shake hands before the game?

For those that have watched Ben a lot more than I:

How is his low post game against big defenders? Does he have low post moves? Jump hook?

Is he effective down low against bigs?

I will bow down to your basketball professionalism, as I am a football guy. All I am saying is the same shots he took last night, he made against Cooper, so maybe he is confident in making the shots he took. Sometime you have to fade away to shoot, sometimes you're going to have a hand in your face, it's basketball, not every shot is a wide open layup or jumper. Basketball 102

But...for those asking, here it is......

Looks like Mayer made a wide decision to let it go....no contesting that.
