I am not sure that continually taking the chance on these types of guys is worth the risk.

Every team in the league has "problem" guys like this... It's just not many are as talented as Burfict to be involved in nearly every play... And so we don't hear much about them.

 

And I ask, off the field, how many problems has Burfict caused?

 

Pacman has had many off field issues... But Burfict has been pretty clean so far... Hope it stays that way cause I expect idiots in the public to try to bait the kid into altercations.

Until he is ruled out for this Sunday, I'm not buying it. Have you ever had a concussion? The last thing I wanted to do was jump around and make videos. But that's just me.

Burfict has been fined $200k since he entered the league. If he has to sit out 3 next year it will cost him about $500K in salary.

I guess the teams could re-do his contract and raise his salary but I've never hard of that being done.

 

Only good news is that fines can be written off as a tax deduction.

Cool... I often wondered if teams would actually cut the league checks for fines... Although suspensions I always felt definitely costs the player.

 

That's why I've always been in favor of suspensions over fines if the league really wants to send a message to a player.

Or a Steeler...he would fit in well there. Not trying to be funny. He could help that defense...and if the Bengals cut him, I am sure he would not mind getting back at them.

The sack of Big Ben was textbook and VB tried (and did) come up with the ball much like the Steelers did on the Gio hit. But Big Ben was down before the ball was loose. Watch the ball as it hits the ground during the sack. It moves but he was down and VB digs it out.

 

If the sack Saturday against Ben is deemed even questionable, NFL defensive players might as well just give up. You cannot make a cleaner, more text book tackle than that one.
