PBS use the UBU Sports' Speed Series S5-M synthetic turf system. It won't be sloppy. Footing will be about wearing the right kind of shoes. I just wonder how hard it will rain. I remember that 4th quarter in 2013, playing the Patriots, when a monsoon hit. Brady couldn't see nor could he get a good grip on the ball for passing. It was mentioned that Big Ben has big hands which should help him.

And considering the conditions, the stage, and the experience of the backups I'm hoping ball control becomes a factor (none of the three RBs I looked at have a fumble to their credit, though).

This is getting way ahead of things. Hoever if the Bengals win this week, and say Dalton still doesn't play next week. Then I don't think the Bengals could go back to Dalton in the AFC championship game if the Bengals got there even if he is fully healthy at that time, unless McCarron has looked horrible in the wins. So imo if Dalton doesn't play next week, then he won't start in the playoffs after that even if healthy.

As the weather discussion continued in this thread, that Patriots game came to my mind as well. I would love seeing the exact same weather and outcome in this one.

I'm picking the Steelers in this one, but hope I'm wrong.

Bengals D has to play lights out in order to win... That's something they haven't done in any of the recent playoff losses except I believe the second Houston loss... D played well in that one.

 

If the Steelers even score 20 in this one, I think the Bengals lose.

So Burfict and gang must avoid penalties and take care of business.

 

On offense, Eiffert must have a great game... Like score 2 touchdowns. No turnovers and for God's sake can the O-line stop the dumb false starts and holding....

 

McCarron, just play solid, no dumb stuff... Don't take unnecessary sacks and don't throw any picks...

 

Even if all that goes well, I'd expect a Bengals win of like 20-17...

 

But I'll predict Steelers 27-13 unfortunately...

Forgot to add... Huber and Nugent need to step it up... Both have been off all year IMO.. Maybe there is some injury in Huber's case, Nugent just seems to not be on mentally.

 

And punt returning for both teams...Tate have a good game if possible... Bengals control Steelers returns.

I agree Huber has not been himself at all this year.
