Like MTGL said I am sure that has been a big topic (on talk radio) but since I don't listen any longer I had to work on this myself.

 

The only way I see a real advantage for the Bengals in the rain is if it affects Big Ben's ability to consistently complete passes.

 

It would be real interesting to see a comparison of ratings for teams, offenses, players, etc. in the rain vs. a dry surface.

 

I suppose our Steeler fans can answer the question, how do the Steelers and/or Big Ben play in the rain?

Ben, to date, has never had issues with the elements. I think his huge hands are a benefit. But you know how that goes, a slick track doesn't help offense nor defense. A slip by one is a TD, the other is a pick 6. Who knows who slips. I think it doesn't matter much to the Steeler secondary, they can't cover in the rain, snow, dry, hot, cold,,,you get the drift.

Sometimes I think it helps WRs because they know where they are going and the DBs don't.

 

Either way, what you said about Ben is key to me, with that in mind I think the rain is advantage Steelers.

Two of the sites have had money-line movement, but in both cases, it has moved in the direction of money being placed on the Bengals. In both cases they launched at you had to bet $110 on Pittsburgh to win $100, and now both are $100 for $100.

 

What are seeing now, I see movement with more money on the Steelers? A couple of the places that opened at Cincy +2.5 are now Cincy +3.0.

I was at the last home game against Steelers and the Ravens last week, this might make me happy I will be home on my couch....but will still rather be there I think.
