This thread is gross, this game is gross, everything about it stinks. Losing to our rivals is gonna make it sting just a little more. Can't wait to hear Marvin's press conference. :irked:

 

Marvin Lewis is a good coach. Why do Bengals fans hate on Marvin so much? You want Dave Shula back? Or Homer Rice?

This will be the one of easiest playoff game for me to watch as a Bengals fan yet... Because I only expected the Bengals to win 2 of LEWIS' Playoff games in the past... First one against Pitt in '05 and the recent San Diego game...

Both Houston games and the Indy game were games I expected to lose... And this Steeler match up is similar... I don't expect a win, but I think it will be close and if the Bengals pull it out, sweet!

It just sucks that Dalton got hurt, because I thought he really came in this year and earned a shot at a playoff victory... Even if he somehow plays, no way he's at 100%... So, I'm just glad that had a historically great season... Bad luck seems to have stopped them short again...

Maybe next season, they have better luck. Who knows?

It's enjoyable to see the Cincy fans react like this to playing the Steelers. Can't wait to hear the excuses and finger pointing after Saturday night. Bengals Group Therapy has been taken off the air by their local radio show cause Mike Brown told the advertisers to do it a few years back. Never happen in Pitt. Steelers have 1st class organization and would never stoop to that level. So I am not surprised to see how edgy and grumpy their fans are. lol!

Absolutely zero pressure on Bengals in this one. Like I said, any Bengal fan with common sense didn't expect a win in Indy with all the injuries last year and shouldn't have expected wins in Houston either...

Facts are facts, Dalton is out or far less than healthy if he plays... Steelers should win this one and everyone knows it.

Playing a backup QB will be the excuse next week. If only Dalton had played, the same Bengals fans who have been calling for him to be benched will say. No one will give the Steelers their proper due that they are just a much better franchise with a much better QB. Steelers roll, 37-14, and we will again know WE DEY! Maybe Bill Cowher can come back to lead the Steelers in a post-game chant again. lol!

No pressure IMO on a young QB starting his 4th game... Isn't expected to win IMO. Not saying Bengals can't win, but if people call for Dalton's head or Marvin after a loss this weekend...that's just silly.

 

Bad luck struck them again with Dalton's injury.... Last year it was Eiffert, Jones and Green out... Ten years ago it was the Palmer injury.

 

The only playoff game they really should've won, and they lost because they had all the pressure to win, was 2 years ago against San Diego.

Had MRI today and no word about results that I've read yet.

I have no idea if Daltons cast came off or not. However I have a feeling if it did come off that he will dress but not start Saturday. I think they wont chance it if not 100% but they would be willing to chance it if McCarron got hurt rather than play Wenning. Then obviously start Dalton next week.

Given all factors:

 

Steelers: Backed into a playoff spot after a terrible loss to a cast-off QB that had no practice time. Whole team looked like they were feeling the pressure. Even a win over Bengals won't help in NE.

 

Bengals: Played the last two trying not to lose and still can't get plays in on time, can't punt the ball decently, can't return it unless they use Pac Man, QBs injured and lining tackles up in the backfield. Even a win over Steelers still gets them bounced in NE.

 

Patriots: Beat up and injured and they are not beating anyone in the last 8 like they did in the first 8. Held together with duct tape. Wizard is going to have the best QB in the 2000s and Home Field to bounce Pitt/Cin winner.

 

Broncos: Other than Peyton Manning has sold his soul to the devil (or HGH) they have no offense and hanging on to hoping defense and thin air gets them thru.

 

Texans: Got in by Indy just being terrible. They have to hope for a win at home and then pray for some sort of fluke game.

 

Chiefs: Hottest team no one really fears. If they get by Texans might become the AFC road warriors and plow thru the playoffs.

 

I think I would take Arizona or Carolina and maybe even Seattle over anyone in the NFC.
