If you can get ground level support for your operation (think Starbucks in NYC for those too dumb to remember Occupy Wallstreet). I was referring to the BLM protests in Baltimore, Chicago, Minnesota and other Metro Areas that overtook Federal property (interstate highways) and led to the destruction of personal property and violence. It just seems funny to me that those who supported those protests are quick to label these guys terrorists.
January 5, 201610 yr Fyi.... Western BLM = bureau of land management,,, farmers pay them leases to graze cattle on government owned land. Eastern BLM = black lives matter Two very different issues with government. Its made this thread confusing at times. The guys holed up in DNR building imo are protesting the way our government handles the lease agreements with farmers. In general, western US farmers don't like the way government impedes on their livelihoods. This has been like this for a long time. The Bundy's like the others in the building are hardcore, they want a fight hoping to ignite a anti-government battle. The FBI knows this and will try not to force them out. They like some of the stuff they stand for, but common sense tells them its the wrong voice to follow. The Bundys are hijacking any rancher isssue to grind their ax with uncle sam. This is why the local people and the imprisoned ranchers are telling them to leave. My relatives living and ranching in the west said this when ole man Bundy had his battle with the feds.

Great analogy...would get a lot more traction if Bundy would go back to Utah or wherever he came from and let the demonstrations do the talking. Definitely hijacked the cause in many ways
January 5, 201610 yr If indeed the Hammonds have asked the Bundys to leave they should leave. This is a fight that the Hammonds have been fighting with the Bureau of Land Management for a long, long time, and the Bundys could be hurting their efforts.
January 5, 201610 yr Please. Last I saw this isn't the first time armed white men got mad and tried to send a statement to America. Waco and the Oklahoma City bombings come to mind. Let's not overreact and act like this a result of Obama. This would have happened if Bush or Trump was the president. This story starts well before Obama and any contemporary took office.
