Well I've heard the complaints of players and students about unfair treat in CC schools... So I have observed over the past 4 seasons the truthfulness in their complaints.

 

 

I would say that situation (or perception) is inherent in almost every school system... some will complain, some decide to transfer, and others just accept.

By the way, why don't you think the coach is not playing Geiman and Zumwalde? I'm thinking he sees them in practice everyday and knows what they can or can not do. Hard to see what goes on in a Campbell county Gym at practice while you are not in there.

 

I am not the best basketball talent evaluator out there. But it would be hard to imagine a kid like Hegyi or Wilson getting the time they do for any other reason than they've earned it.

 

Campbell is losing games they shouldn't, which is why we're discussing all this. The difference between some of the guards sitting on the bench (or in the hallways) versus the ones getting more playing time is not a HUGE difference, if there even is a difference (which the coaches who have seen them play more than fans, or AAU coaches obviously think the ones on the court are better). So turning these losses into wins is about getting back to the basics, finding some passion/motivation and putting your elite players into positions to make things happen.

Your agenda is becoming more transparent as we get more of the truth. Coaching kids and listening to them complain about playing time, treatment, coaching, programs etc….and actually entertaining those comments….Not At All Helpful for the Kid.

 

You came out pretty strong against a program, school, and coach, with essentially no on the ground data to back it up. I agree with @TAC, that coach knows what he has day to day…you just know what you had during a summer session, that does not lend credibility to strengthening your argument.

I didn't come out against anyone!!! I have repeatedly stated that IMO CC has the most bball talent in NKY. What is done with said talent is the coaches decision. If you are losing games that you shouldn't have maybe someone needs to make different decisions.

If everyone outside of CC can see the talent then maybe its something to be said about the talent evaluation in CC.

Just checked the KHSAA stats page; Dixie is ranked 6th in the state in team defense at 42.1 PPG. I'll gladly leave the CC debate to those in the know, but I'll also humbly suggest that any team playing that level of defense might win a few games they're "not supposed to" win.

The competition in the 10th is below average at best. What is CC's record against good teams in the state of KY over the past 2 years?

 

I see there is a reoccurring theme with these post. Matt Wilson is a very skilled big man but he is not a dominate big man. He gets pushed around by physical players. Matt could benefit from receiving the at the mid or high post, where he could utilize superior athleticism and face up game to attack the basket.

There is a 6'3" 245 pounder wondering the halls just down the street.

if i am not mistaken, dixie is returning one starter (soph last year) and 4 JV players from last year. They also have many great athletes not playing for the basketball team who are walking the halls. This happens at every school.

lamontab is not going off of what kids say. He's going off what he sees and so does a lot of other people. As far as coaching for a summer, how about 4 years of spring and summer? And watching those cc boys on his team along with others win over some of the best teams around? Maybe they don't play as good when they are in a cc uniform. If so then that is a coaching problem for not getting the best out of those players!

But like someone else stated, it happens at allot of schools. Players who are good in middle school are thought to be best in high school and coaches don't look at the ones who got better coming up. Last name, money, coaches kids, all things that play a role at some schools instead of just talent and hard work.
