I would like to commend Ashland AD Mark Swift for acting quickly in bringing a quality coach to Blazer Blvd. With school starting in less than a month, it was important to find a replacement without a long interview process.

 

Like most in this area, I know nothing about Biggs but most of the above posts are positive.

 

In any event, the Ashland decision makers showed strong leadership. For that, I salute the AD and his "entourage".

I don't know anything about him but from what all I have read here and what I have heard he is an excellent coach and class person. As for the move shocking you, like I said I admit that I don't know him but why wouldn't anyone want a chance at the helm of the team with the Tomcats tradition and with the most wins in Ky. h.s. basketball? (at least I think that Ashland still holds that honor)

To where in the 9th? What open job would have been a move up, or given him a chance to improve his standing? I think it was obvious he would leave PC after the '05-06 class graduated, as his stock was certainly as high as it was going to get at Pendleton. I've heard repeatedly he was most interested in a move to Central KY (Lexington in particular), as his wife has family there; and had applied for the Henry Clay job, among others. I'd think Ashland's talent pool may be deeper than PC's in the long run, and will give him a better chance to improve his resume. I hope the Tomcat faithful allow him the time to "do his thing".

 

Count me as one "Up-North" 10th region fan who hates to see him leave, despite his recent success against the region. He was fun to compete against, and might have been even more fun this year had he stayed at PC!!

O.K., Like I wa saying, I really didn't know his situation or anything like that. Just that Ashland (to me anyway) would be a very desirable job.
