Xavier (10-0) now, with this nice win over the Bearcats(8-2)

Leading the winners was Myles Davis(Plainfield, N-Jersey)with 17 points, 3 boards and 3 assist.

Cincy got 13 from Octavius Ellis(Memphis, TN)

I was able to watch some of this one, while watching another game.

7 of 9 and 14 of 20 over the Bearcats...you have to ask, is this still a rivalry? Ha!!! Just kidding GT.

Fun game.

That argument sounds familiar...

How bout those blank shirts now?

Still blank... :thumb:

About what I expected. X is playing really well, and UC is working to find their identity. That was the story coming in, and it is still pretty much the same going out.

Great adjustment by Mack to go to the 1-3-1 when UC cut it to 7 and had momentum. Result was 5 turnovers in the next 6 trips, and the Sumner hammer on Ellis got X going again.

Only bright side for the Bearcats was holding X to 23 in the 2nd half. Not easy to do with the firepower of that bunch...

X is a really good team. They were favored for a reason.

Not only were they tougher than UC but they make you work for everything at both ends.

Hate to say it but Cincinnati's lack of basketball IQ is one of the biggest reasons for X dominating this series. No longer can UC get by on simply having more talented players. Both teams rosters are very similar talent wise but X plays a much smarter game.

UC offense continues to struggle. The bright side? Still have two non conference games left to boost their resume with a visit to VCU and home game v top 5 Iowa State.

X was plus 31 tonight when you combine the difference in Pts in the paint, 2nd chance points, fast break, and pts off turnovers.

X has more talent. They have more depth. They have more options.

Great run by UC to get it back down to a "game" but they simply do not have the horses.

UC needs to recruit scorers and have for some time.

How does Gary Clark end up with 2 attempts?

How does Gary Clark end up with 2 attempts?

14 pts, 7 rbs last year on 7-11 shooting.

Wasn't aggressive at all today. X did a nice job doubling in the post and being able to recover to defend the perimeter but he still should have gotten more than two shot attempts.
