Then the softball field will be nowhere near where we thought. :laugh: I looked at the area there and thought to myself, that is an awful lot of land that they won't be able to use.:laugh: So I'm gonna guess the other area (where we thought the girls ball field was going to be) will be strictly parking. I had heard this over the weekend. I haven't driven back there in a few weeks. I need to get back there to see what it's looking like now.

Based on the drawings I've seen, which are probably outdated, the left field line will run parallel to Kenton Lands and the right field line parallel with Dixie Hwy.

That should be a nice size ballfield . :thumb: Now is it going to have lights also ?? And is there still going to be a small practice field of grass in that area for that spotted ball sport or football ??

I don't know about lights. Originally, there was a practice field slotted for the area between the football and baseball fields, but not sure now. There was also talk of having turf on the infield on the baseball field. If they were thinking about lights, now would be the time to put them in.

Not sure on that one. If I had to guess, maybe where Caywoods playground used to be, which would put it on the other side of the scoreboard in SM32's pic, and beyond the wall of the softball field. :confused:

I'm not sure where anythings gonna go as it looks like they have revamped the plans since I first saw them. I'll try an post the pics as it becomes apparent. I took some pics of the baseball field but it doesn't make any sense yet so I omitted them. There is a new road that leads to the concessionstand and parallel to Dixie Hwy that has parking. Not sure how that is going to develop though just by looking.

Everything looks fantastic, I can hardly wait to visit in person.

That road and parking that you're referring too was in the drawing I saw in the lobby. The right field line will run parallel to that road/parking lot.

Did a tour of the two new stadiums yesterday, and that house talked about in the above post is no longer, the stadium looks really nice.

Locker Room to the left, and concession stand. 2nd level of the building. Will be on the same level as the split in the upper and lower levels of the stadium seating.

 

 

 

 

 

Went by there today. It looked to me that on the lower level of the building

is concessions and restrooms. All the way to the left were ticket windows.

But definetly restrooms to the left of concessions, plumbing was roughed in

for a womens and mens.

I drove by last night. The parking lots, both front and side have been poured. Just doing that gives the school a whole new look IMO. The field looks to be complete, minus the goal posts. The one thing I didn't care for is that there appears to only be about a foot of turf separating the back line to the track surface. They have the room, why not add at least 5 yards? It also would've been cool if they did something with the endzones. The home stands looked to be almost complete. They're still working on the buildings and visitor stands. It looks as though there will be a gate on the visitor's side for entrace (Caywood's old parking lot area). I noticed the lights were laying on the track, so it's only a matter of time before they're in. Also, there appears to be plenty of room for the softball field now that they've removed the 2nd house on Summit. I didn't drive down Kenton-Lands to see the progress back there.
