Rank The Finals Participants

Featured Replies

The thread topic didn't say rank them best to worse, he said rank them from what you saw this weekend.. Well, imo, the 6 winners looked better in winning than any of the losers did losing, so, all 6 would go 1-6, then who looked the worse out of the losers.. No question, Lex Cath layed a big egg. Yes, give Belfry credit, but, still, they looked like they had never played defense in all their lives.. Beechwood may have beaten NCC during the regular season, but, NCC looked better in the championship than Beechwood did.. Pulaski Co and Lafayette, imo, looked like the 2 best losers, followed by NCC.. JJcentral was thrashed pretty good and didn't get a lot going against SW, so, I'd have them right behind NCC, followed by Beechwood and Lex Cath..

(I may catch some heat from the BG faithful on 3 & 4, but that was the impression I left the finals with. That would be a heck of a game, and a tossup.)

No! Say it ain't so. This must be a mistake. I would never thought that. Nobody knows about this year. What about the next five years. You think they're going to be a dynasty or something. Until they schedule us, I don't see how anyone, except South Warren Fans, can say that. Johnson Central ain't Pulaski County. Wow!

I didn't see many of the games, but I think this is a pretty good list. I did see Belfry play, and would drive to Pike County, The Ville, or BG to watch them play Male, BG, or SW......even on a work night!

Top defenses was Male, BG, SW, Belfry, Mayfield, and NCC.

To be honest, I've gone back and forth on it many times during the year. These are just for fun, but it's not something I took lightly in posting! It is a real shame we didn't see the teams settle it on the field this year.

Next five years though, without the benefit of seeing how South Warren reloads this time around, I would have no problems with saying Bowling Green.

Anyone have any insight into either BGs or Souths programs to know if the 2 playing in the near future is a legitimate possibility or not?

South Warren's offense isn't anywhere near as good as Pulaski County's. Pulaski County scored 7 points on BG.

Just saying......

But to be fair Pulaski's defense isnt anywhere near South Warren's. I would say SW running game is as strong, it is the Riley Hall/Johnson connection that seperates the 2. I do feel SW is better than Pulaski but we will never know so my answer is as correct as anyone else's.

As is mine. My point is that if BG can stop Pulaski County from doing what they want to do on offense then they should be able to stop South Warren on offense as well. South Warren's defense would likely be the best that BG would have faced and that is why BG would win 10-7.

Purples fans should be well acquainted with the South Warren philosophy on that. Bowling Green used to make their living by using pressure defense, getting three and outs/turnovers, flipping field position, and setting their offense up for short fields. I believe that would be the South Warren formula. As Tyler points out, South Warren's defense is significantly better than that of Pulaski County, and the Purples only had 14 on offense against them. I personally feel that South Warren would be the best defense Bowling Green would have seen all year.

On the flip side, South Warren never saw an offense like Bowling Green's. Namely, one that can throw, like, at all. And one with a line capable of giving protection for said throws. It would be a fantastic game, I just feel like I'd give the edge to the better defensive team.

Oh you already know I agree on who would win. We will ALWAYS agree on that one :)

I agree for the most part of this order except I don't believe Pikeville would beat Mayfield.
