The only reason why I stated the score to be like it is was cause this is a big rivalry game, the first game of the season AND I really didn't know what Corbin had returning.

Could someone that knows about the Redhounds please enlighten us as to who will be back?

Corbin will still be a little on the young side this year, but they will not be that inexperienced since they had to play so many sophomores and freshman last year. Here is who returns to the best of my recollection.

Offense:

QB - Cashen - Jr

RB - B. Freeman - Sr

FB - Light - Jr

OL - Nolan - Jr

OL - Mocahbee - Jr

OL- Miller - Sr

Defense:

DE - Woody - Sr

DE - Miller - Sr

DT - Nolan - Jr

LB - Martin - Sr

LB - Sanders - Jr

DB - L. Freeman - So

DB - Madon - Jr

DB - Mitchell - Jr

Others who were in the rotation last year:

OL/DL - Hayden - So

OL/DL - Taylor - So

DL - Martin - Jr

LB - B Freeman - Sr

New players who will play significant roles this year:

RB/LB - Campbell - So

WR/LB - French - So

LB/RB - Stewart - Sr

WR/DB - Sewell - So

RB - Christopher(?) - Jr

Corbin will be fine.

I'm sure they will. It's Rockcastle i'll be worried about if they lose to Corbin.

Rock will win this one big/ Rock will be the best team in the mountains and maybe 3A period.

I agree with the sentiment that if Rockcastle doesn't win this game handily, it doesn't bode well for their chances of making a legitimate run in 3A.

This is said every year, even last year when Rock lost to Danville it was said they would have long year, yet they were tied wth the state champs (Lex Cath) at halftime in the semi's last season with only 14 players participating in the game. The Rock will find ways to face adversity.

Corbin isn't Danville, either.

And ... Rockcastle eventually got bombed in the semifinals, a week after LexCath finally got over the Highlands hump. It's not that hard to believe that the Knights may have had a bit of a letdown.

Corbin should be at the same level as Danville before this year is over.

A loss by either of these teams in this big game won't hurt their chances for a title run one iota...

For Corbin to win this game they will have to win the battle upfront. Corbin should be outsized and outstrength. If Cashen gets time to good throws, and Corbin's D-line doesn't get pushed back, and run out of gas they have a chance, but I think Rock is too much for the Hounds this year.

Corbin could be outsized by an average of about 20 lbs. up front, but they will NOT be outstrengthed or out coached. I love the negative out looks on the hounds this year is gives them something to play off of and people to proove wrong.

I dont think anyone has a negative outlook on the hounds season. They should easily win district and I see Rock, Bell and Middlesboro as POTENTIAL losses. I see Rock winning 28-21.

Should have went to our combine this year and last year, if you don't think the boys from Rock are strong, and Corbin had kids their too, and the Rock kids stood out imo. Speaking negative about Rock's kids and coaches should give them something to play off of, and people to prove wrong, I guess it works both ways.

Rock will win this one!

Rockcastle has most of their team back from last year, and finished the season strong (just ask Bell County).

This game should be a cakewalk.
