Should be a battle; hoping for a Beechwood win and I think they can, but it will be a dogfight.

I think this will be a great ballgame. Haven't seen Beechwwod but know the pedigree. Pikeville isn't your typical 1A EKY team. They have the bell cow TB but they also execute in their passing game very efficiently. I agree with the post above. Their kicking game could be a huge liability in a game like this. They didn't kick to Trimble one time all night. They kicked to Phelps once and he took it to the house! Rest of the time it was squib kicks which resulted in good field position.

If there aren't a lot of turnovers this should be a great matchup.

Pikeville is healthy. Beechwood is not. Beechwood will need a running game to beat Pikeville. Beechwood is going to see a running back with power and speed and he will be a load. QB position will be my key to watch and listen too. Both excellent and proficient passers but Fieger has Experience and almost a 4 year starter. Pikeville has several other weapons in Jarrell and Vanderbeck who are dangerous with the ball in there hands and in space.

Beechwood is also being held together by duct tape right now. Can they match Pikeville physically?

 

Key player in this one will be Cody Charles, if they have to rely on Pugh getting all the yards then I think Beechwood will win

How does the absence of one starting RB equate to Beechwood being held together by duct tape?

Starting RB is out, but they have several players that aren't full strength.

I have seen every BW playoff game and I am not aware of anyone not playing at full strength. Bumps and bruises here and there but that is expected at this time of the year. Please define "full strength".

Only change I see is #53 Kyle Martin is out with knee issues. Dalton Meade #55,and Gunner Edmonds # 58 are rotating in and out in place of him. Again this change has occurred since the Belfry game at mid season. This is not due to an injury, but arthritic symptoms with the knee when colder temps are present.

Duct tape???? Maybe Rash will call off the game....hopefully the Freshman can hold thier own.

Dont worry about Beechwoods duct tape ...Im sure they will tell you its strong enough to hang another banner.

Beechwood was a bit sluggish for their standards the past 2 rounds. This team was dominating during most of the season, and not to take anything away from Lou. HC and Russellville, but Beechwood didn't play their best football. Noel Rash said they were banged up a bit. You guys are thinking duct tape like Beechwood has no chance now. Not the case, but if Beechwood isn't as dominate like they've been most of the season, then Pikeville will make this an uncomfortable game

They are young kids, anxious to play. They will be fine!

Beechwood and Pikeville used to face each other regularly in the semi's or finals years ago. It has been a long time. I always loved the Pikeville people as they were exceptionally nice people. Looking forward to the rematch.

I'm pumped about being able to possibly make this game, it would be nice to watch a beechwood game and not be nervous about the outcome! GO TIGERS
