Texans 10 Bengals 6

Featured Replies

Every one basically covered it. Dalton didn't play his best but wasn't horrible. The line had trouble, Eifert flat out sucked tonight. Then our star receiver once again has a huge fumble at the end of a game.

What really sucked is even as bad as this game was i was looking forward to seeing if Dalton could put the whole game behind him and lead his team to a victory at the end. I was impressed with him that last drive and wish we could have seen if he would have finished it. However Green didnt let that happen.

Last year the Bengals ran a lot of H Back lead runs for Hill with Hewitt leading the way. That is not being run this year.

Exactly. The Bengals are mainly in gun with three wr sets and Eifert at the and no fullback. Which that fits Gio better than it does Green.

Did I hear right that ISIS showed up to the game tonight, got bored and left?

Zona will work them. How can a team not be able to beat the opposition when led by Hoyer or Yates?

Disagree. The Bengals flat out sucked tonight. However one thing this team has done well over the last few years is bouncing back after a horrible game and winning the next one when people don't expect it. They played bad tonight its no more no less. The game agaisnt Arizona will be a great game.

Sure, if you go by stats. Not true if you watched how Watts impacted the Bengals blocking scheme and their ability to throw down field. He totally changed that and disrupted their offense.

The Bengals threw the ball downfield. Ineffectively, but they threw it. Yes, they helped on him on some plays that were obvious passing downs. Watt is a great player but he did not have much impact on tonight's game - against a back up tackle.

To soon and not really appropriate even if its being used as a joke.

One positive is Burfict looked better tonight and not as slow as he did the first two games he played. Having him back is huge for this defense.

Eifert killed them. He's been so good all year I wouldn't worry about a bad night. Any of you Bengals fans would have been tickled with this record at this point of the season even with this loss.

I'm not. I think they will bounce back and look very good agaisnt Arizona. Eifert will be fine too.

3 things...

If they don't run a stupid reverse inside the 20 early in the game, just play straight up offense without trickery, they probably walk away with a TD...

If Dalton would've been patient on the one drive, dump it off instead of throwing the bomb Int, they probably at least reverse the field position on that drive if not score a FG or better...

If Eiffert drops 3 key passes and Green is going to continue to fumble on game winning drives, just like at PITT last year... Bengals won't be able to get over the hump...

As much as the pocket collapsed, as much as our receivers couldn't get separation and all the drops... I actually think Dalton played much better than what he'd done in those situations in the past... A game that in the past would've been a 10-20 point meltdown loss... He was able to get them inside the 20 and if Green doesn't fumble... Who knows? 40 secs and a timeout left, 1st and 10 inside the 20...

Also, regarding the Watt comments, last year and years before Dalton would say nothing about it. I liked that he took a stance on it and had a heavy tone to his voice too... Loved it! He's showing he is different and has more confidence. You can say your unimpressed and it doesn't take guts because the Texans aren't on the schedule again... But I love that he didn't shy away like he would've in the past. I don't think the Texans will make the playoffs, but if they do, he's let it be known he's not afraid to speak his mind even regarding Watt... And the NFL is a small fraternity, they'll see each other face to face and probably will before Texans leave tonight.

Agreed... And I'm getting tired of them pulling Burfict off the field on so many key 3rd downs... Let the kid play in key must stop situations

Timing man.....it would be even less funny later when this game soon gets forgotten.

I figured that someone might object, but couldn't resist when the thought came to me and I found myself chuckling at the dry humor.

Tacky no doubt, and my apologies if you or anyone else was offended.

Call it comical relief on various levels perhaps?

Sobering stat for us Bengals fans... Did u see career win/loss records for all the Bengals QB's of note?

Anderson 91-81

Esiason 62-61

Palmer 46-51

Dalton 48-24(now)-1

Just makes me wonder why so many people complain about a QB only half way through his 5th season and he already has more wins than any of the other QB's had in that same time frame...

And none of them have good playoff records either before anyone wants to play that card... Although, Anderson and Esiason each once won 2 playoff games to get to a Super Bowl...

Bengals must stay ahead of Denver for Dalton to even be in a position to have that playoff bye chance... Difference is that both Anderson and Esiason had the number one seed and home field throughout playoffs, which I don't think any of us expected Dalton's Bengals to finish ahead of New England this year anyway... So still, more than likely he would have a tougher road to a Super Bowl than they did in their Super Seasons.

Eifert needs to put this one behind him, he g as had a great tear thus far. His drops hurt but also his inability to block. Several times ge got beat by Merciless or Watt.

Watt had about as much impact on the game tonight as Peko did for the Bengals.

Houston held the high powered Bengals offense to 256 total net yards with 3 sacks and 1 int and 6 pts and you try to make us believe that Watt didn't have any impact on that game. I wonder what game you were watching??
