Dicky is a great thing. Yes he's the ultimate homer, and that's because he's the biggest Tomcat fan in the world. I find nothing wrong with Dicky saying he felt Ashland was the better team.

I just don't believe Ashland was the better team, especially without Baker. No way of knowing what would have happened with him. But while you say Ashland did a lot wrong, Scott did a lot right. It seems like you're saying that Scott only eon because Ashland made mistakes, not because Scott did well.

 

Scott has a good team and seem to be well coached. I seriously don't think Scott played their best game of the season, but to their credit they did what they needed to do to get the win. I would be proud of those kids too if I were a Scott fan, but you guys are acting like any time someone says Ashland played a bad game that they're slamming Scott.

That to me is slighting the team that won. Scott suffered from turnovers and penalties in the first half. But at that point the dialogue wasn't that Scott was giving the game away, but that Ashland was just better than Scott.

Really, I don't need anything. I just don't buy into the theory of "giving" games away. I think the winning team plays a bigger role by doing things to win. Teams still have to take advantage of, or more importantly force mistakes. One could argue that Scott pretty much "gave" Ashland their first 18 points. I'm sure if Ashland had won, the dialogue wouldn't be how Scott gave the game away...it would just be about how great Ashland is (pretty much the talk that went on all week).
