I seriously doubt it, Ashland played bd tonight. I'll give Scott credit, they capitalized on Ashlands mistakes. But I seriously doubt JC has any issues beating them.

Good, hard fought game tonight by two worthy opponents. Ashland couldn't recover from their many turnovers. Scott did what good teams do in that situation and turned them in to points. Congrats to scott, but that was a tough loss for a great group of seniors. Good luck to Scott the rest of the way, you will have your hands full next Friday.

Just like Ashland was supposed to be 3-4 touchdowns better than Scott. Scott played a part in Ashland not playing well. Not many have given Scott much credit. They played well tonight, and outplayed Ashland who many thought would end up in the finals. Anything could happen, especially since JC has to make the trip up to NKY.

 

Once again...thank you for the encouragement. The more our kids get slammed on here, the harder it makes these boys play!!! So for the sore losers, keep up the good work...it's only making our Eagles more tough. ??????

To Scott's credit, Pleasant didn't play either. This time of year, the teams that play best together win. Plain and simple. With or without your best players. Great season Ashland but couldn't be happier for Scott.

Really?? So much so that Ashland didn't score another point after the first quarter. You said the same thing last week about Rowan Co ??

What turned this game around? What were Scott's offensive tendencies or do they have any?

 

Turnovers and major penalties. To Scott's credit the allowed a couple of turnovers early that helped Ashland break open the 18-0 lead. Ashland failed to capitalize on that and extend the lead.

 

Instead they gave up major penalties that lead to points scored, along with turnovers that put Scott in scoring position.

 

To be honest, its hard to take much from this game. IMO, neither team played a good game. I could go in and on about what Ashland did wrong, but I'll leave it alone, I'm proud of those kids.

 

But in the grand scheme of things, after watching Ashland and JC go to war in the district game, I would be surprised if JC doesn't win this one going away.

Let's not forget the two fumbles in the first quarter that lead to two touchdowns for Ashland one of those fumbles were inside Scotts own 5 yard line
