Not as easy as just saying "yes". As a man of science I think you would have stopped to think about that. Massive even more negative repercussions COULD take place, even worse than what Hitler perpetrated.

 

I believe it was Dennis Prager who was talking about this on his show a few weeks back and I caught part of it. More than just a few people said "no" when taking the time to think about it logically.

Science fiction has done a great job demonstrating the unintended consequences of interfering in past events in universes where such a thing is possible.

 

The brown shirts may have arisen anyway. What if the leader of the national socialist party would have instead been a more rational actor with similar ideas. What if it was someone who would've been able to maintain the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and keep the Soviet Union out of WWII until much later... or someone with more influence over Japanese policy that could've persuaded them to delay Pearl Harbor until Germany had control over all of Western Europe, including Britain?

 

We never know the consequences of past acts. I don't know if Carson had that in mind, but whenever we talk about interference in the past, unintended consequences should always be thought out.
