November 6, 201510 yr This is a bad situation for sure. I don't agree with just get them later. It promotes criminals to just say all we have to do is run from the police and they will let us go. You're not letting them go as much as your saving face from a potential headlining incident. Also not saying you can't pursue the guy however that policy usually varies department to department. You really have to weigh out everything.

Did you watch that video link you posted? Officer rolls the guy over, and he has a gun. You don't wait and ask what his intentions are cause it only takes a second for him to shoot, I don't care what position he is in. How any trained police officer wouldn't do the same in the same situation will have to be explained to me.

November 6, 201510 yr Author Coroner says all of the shots were from the driver's side and went through the driver's window. The child was in the front seat next to his dad.
November 6, 201510 yr Author Officers involved were wearing body cameras but reports say that the video has not yet been reviewed and officers involved have refused thus far to speak to investigators. That was from yesterday so maybe they spoke today.

November 7, 201510 yr The Louisiana State Police Colonel said that charges might still be lodged against the other 2 officers. The 2 officers that were charged were working 2nd jobs as City Marshals. As Clyde posted it sounds like the father had a previous incident with one of the officers and was afraid of them--it might be why he tried to run.
