That pass Dalton made on 3rd and 2 to AJ down the right sideline late in the game was beautiful -- and if it is incomplete Hue Jackson is an idiot.

Dalton's end zone interception was bad. Happens. However, Eifert's drop on 3rd and 6 in the first half, and the o-line being equal parts inept and penalty-stricken early on, certainly didn't help.

 

7-0, I don't care how it looked, I just know that Dalton led another 4th quarter comeback against a solid club.

I agree with your sentiment. I was just pointing out it isn't like Andy is the first nor will he be the last QB judged this way. Fair or not.

 

I live out of town and watch the games in bars with people who aren't Bengals fan. This narrative isn't a Bengals fan thing , it's the same with all fans. I get ridiculed anytime Dalton makes the slightest mistake.

 

I personally think there have only been a handful of qbs in history with his success so early and the criticism seems silly. But the only way it can go away is to win.

 

The national media now calling for him to be in the MVP race created it. He's been crushed for being a top 15 QB in his first 4 years in the league. It was lazy then and even worse now to see it coming out of both sides of their mouth...

This was Daltons 3rd time this year he led the team down the field to win it in the 4th. He as I've said is having the best year of his professional career and shows signs of making this a very special year for the Bengals.

 

The coward comment is directed to those who don't post in there but spend hours after the game bashing those that are commenting during the game as things happen. As if they are never frustrated etc during games just as you even admitted to in his Int etc. it's all a part of enjoying the sport and putting all your emotions out there at the time.

 

Have I said negative things about Dalton in the past? Heck yea. Have I also said when he does great? Heck yea. If people doubt that, go back and read all my posts the last few years.

It is lazy. ESPN driven lazy , but I would be shocked if narratives out of National sports writers weren't.

It's a sentiment all over the country because of twitter and 24 hour ESPN, etc. The fact is... Dalton does win and his critics still don't shut up. He won a "playoff" game on the road in Pitt in 2012... It can't be seen any other way... Winner moves on, loser goes home.

 

He's never been on a losing team... Ever! Grade school, middle school, high school, college and now pro. That says something to me... Guy knows how to win football games. We all agree he needs to learn to win in the post season, but so does every player and coach on the team.

He's a winner. I'd argue he plays above his natural ability skill set...

With you. I just read the update thread and not only was everyone in there dead in correct on everything that was posted at the time of the game it was happening but there were only 2 sucks comments made THAYS RIGHT ONLY 2 and they were made after each Int and both at key times of the game.

 

You act as if every post had "Andy Sucks" posted in them. So not only your exaggeration about how you think you are right about everything couldn't be further from the truth but your take on the update thread couldn't be more wrong either.

Also please stop with "what you thought about Dalton" in every post you make. You have told us all "what you thought about Dalton" in every post for the last 5 years. We know that he has had problems in big games, we know he has struggled in every playoff game, we know that this team will go as far as Dalton takes them, we know that he needs to make better decisions on the big stage. We all know that, you telling us what we already know in every post for 4+ years is likenfinger nails in a chalk board. We get it, Andy needs to play great for us to go deep in the playoffs. I think we've all figured that out LONG Ago.

 

True just like we all have figured over the last 5 years how you over react to everything. And I apologize you are right the words Dalton sucks was only posted a two times. However you may want to check again on the first time you posted it. His first interception hadnt happened yet when you first said it. So you might want to check your facts. Secondly I apologize again for infering that you basically was saying he sucks all game, by your post talking about how horrible this throw was, or he needs to get his head out of his butt, or he stinks, or you saying they need to put McCarron in. II mean I don't see how anyone would assume you were trying to say he sucks the whole game, especially since you did end up saying he sucks before he even threw the interception. I mean none of this could have been your personal negative bias towards him for why you onlu focused on his play and never once recognized how bad the line played or the pressure around him. But hey yeah your observations were definitely right on...

 

You are honestly right about one thing though. I am sure people are tired of me on here especially responding to your stuff. What's sad though is you don't seem to realize they think the same about you and your post.
