Johnson Central or South Warren?

After tonight, you have to say South Warren. The JC team that took the field tonight is no where near the #1 team.

I've felt South Warren should be #1 all season. Tonight changes nothing for me. JC should be no worse than #2.

Same here. I've had South Warren number one myself for weeks. I do think Johnson Central could play with South Warren, and could beat them. I'm concerned about Johnson Central's passing game, however.

If Johnson Central can't pass they have ZERO chance against SW...trying to run the ball on SW is like trying to knock a brick wall down with a tennis ball.

 

...now throwing against them, that's a different story.

JC has shown the ability to pass, but to me they are a long way from having a passing game if that makes sense. There inability to go to the pass and be effective with it in the clutch makes it skeptical.

No doubt SW is #1 now

 

At the same time... I don't see moving JC and Ashland past #2 and #3 despite the bush whacking losses they took tonight. That speaks a lot about this class...and not necessarily in a favorable way.

I thought JC rested a lot? Including the QB, who is their offensive stud.

They did, but after tonight SW is clear favorite in 4A with JC #2. If they both advance to the state championship (which is not guaranteed for either), it would be a great game IMO, similar to the Ashland - JC game in that it would likely be low scoring.

JP2 is better than JH up front and d line SW probably #1 but who knows til game is played.

I am awarding the teams that don't lose. I have had SW at 1 all year however I am awarding Shelby #2 follows by Spencer and then JC then John Hardin. That was a very quality win by Shelby on the road vs top 10 5A opponent.

It must be painful for you putting JH that high.

SW should be #1. It's time for post season play to start and time for teams to play ball or go home. We will find out on the field who is #1 soon.
