Thoughts? Seems to be a deep year team wise, and talent wise in Northern Kentucky this year.

Is Austin getting any looks from Colleges? Seems like he's been a starter forever out there.

I would put the Camels up at #2. Also, think Wilson is higher. There is another Camel I would put on the list.

Is this the coaches (NKBCA) preseason poll? Or just the OP poll?

Does Newport have a 6'5" kid who transferred in from Taft or Aiken in Cincinnati?

I know they have Mullins who came over from Holmes. I haven't heard of any kid transferring in from one of the mentioned schools unless it just happened.

Do you agree with UKFan's assessment? We don't see many lights out 6'6 shooters.

No. I wouldn't call him lights out. He's streaky and not 6'6" either. Seen him this summer. He can play but not very fast.

Heard about the transfer from a Newport player back in September. Will be interesting.

Thanks.

This is the NKBCA pre season poll. Players and team were voted on by coaches.

SK won't have their entire roster until probably the 2nd week of December.

Football players taking a few weeks off after the season?

Sorry, you left that wide open........

He's one of the best shooters in that class. Has mid major interest right now. He's every bit of 6'5" and has one of the quickest shots as well. His quickness was a concern over the summer, but in my opinion that has more to do with overthinking his previous knee injury than anything.

I'd have him in the top 10 NKY no doubt

You've got me intrigued to check him out. 6'6 shooters are a rare commodity in NKY.

Rare in KY period. 2017 in KY has so many good shooters. J.C., Sean McNeil, Mason Blair, Preston English, etc.

JC can shoot lights out. As good as McNeil. No question. But the physical attributes are more questionable. He is pretty skinny and not very strong. Can't play inside physically really. And he lacks quickness to keep up with some guards around the perimeter. This affects him offensively and defensively.

With that said though - he is an all-around top player in NKY. Not sure about top 10 but top 15, top 20 for sure. Only a junior, he has another year to bulk up and add speed.

Good lord. Now I HAVE to get out and see the kid.
