October 20, 201511 yr This team will only advance through the playoffs if Dalton and Geno stay healthy. Let me say thos. If Dalton were to hit the market, he would break the bank. Because FA QB's of his caliber do not become available. Disagree that he would have broke the bank say if he left after last year. However if he continues what he is doing this year, then yeah he really would have broke the bank. It wasn't just a Bengal thing of people being skeptical of him in big moments. I think it is a league wide thing, and I don't think people would have broke the bank for that. However his play this year is proving other wise.
October 20, 201511 yr OK, this team is 6-0, and let's just play the ' What If game " Let's say this team goes 14-2, 15-1, 16-0, and gets beat in the first round of the playoffs yet again, does Dalton need to go? I'll start, and say 100% YES!!!!. I really think if Cutler, Tanihill, Rivers, Bortals, any of the 15-10 ranked QB's had Cincy's weapons, they all could do what Dalton is doing. Let's not get caught up in the regular season so much, because ALL that really matters is winning in the playoffs, and that's the bottom line. remember Dalton HAS NEVER won a playoff game yet, just sayin. Out of all those QB's the only QB I would take over Dalton now if they flunk out again in the playoffs and Dalton plays bad would be Rivers. I think Rivers through the years has made the Chargers look more talented than they really were. With these weapons and his drive that he plays with, I do think he would do great. Hopefully though it doesn't matter because hopefully Dalton is holding a super bowl trophy after this season.

He would have commanded huge $$ as a FA even last year. I did not say he would have last year, I was referring to this year.

October 20, 201511 yr I was cautiously optimistic coming into this year. Figured they'd be at 4-2 going into the bye (losses to Baltimore and Seattle) or possibly even just 3-3 (losing to either San Diego or KC)...so 6-0 is way ahead of where I thought they'd be right now. But, not going to look a gift horse in the mouth at this point.
October 21, 201511 yr The Steelers are coming to erase your dreams! Could by a must win for Steelers that weekend. They are in KC this weekend with Landry freaking Jones at QB. Gonna need all those phantom calls they get to win that one. Lose and they are 4-3 playing the Bengals, and a loss there puts them 5 games back with the tie breaker. Bengals have actually played well at the dump that is Heinz over the years, at least in the 1pm slot.
October 21, 201511 yr Bengals will split with the Steelers this year, assuming Big Ben plays next week. That will be enough to secure the division.
October 21, 201511 yr Bengals will split with the Steelers this year, assuming Big Ben plays next week. That will be enough to secure the division. This. At this point the Bengals need to go 6-4 the rest of the way to take the division. Probably need 7-3 to have a shot at a 1st round bye. Win your remaining home games against Cleveland, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, and St. Louis, and win one more away from home (most likely either SF or Cleveland).
October 22, 201511 yr I can see NE getting 14, 15, 16 wins. I feel the house of cards is about to fold on the Broncos and would be surprised if they get to 13 wins. Unless of course Peyton has truly sold his soul.
October 22, 201511 yr I hate the Patriots with a burning passion, but I hope they keep winning because it takes all of the spotlight off of the Bengals, then with Denver I hope they keep winning as well, but only in the fashion they are right now. This way no one is talking about the Bengals. I want them to fly under the radar all season. I want them to watch TV and get mad that no one is talking about them. That's how they will break this playoff curse, they are going to have to go out there with the mindset that they are better than every team they play and they want to send a message. Thats what the great teams do, that the good teams don't.
October 22, 201511 yr ESPN's Greg Cosell said today that Eifert is top 2 or 3 TE in skill set. I had a chance to get Gronk in a early round in fantasy football. However I took another top WR instead, because I figured I could get Eifert later hoping he would have a break out year like this. So I am very happy with how he is playing this year lol. I won't be able to get a guy like Eifert next year as late as I did this year,
October 24, 201510 yr I hope the Bengals draft this Kicker from Auburn, Carlson and dump Nugent. He's money from 55 yards in.

OK, it is so easy to say Dalton has to go if he doesn't win a playoff game. Here is the big question...who you going to replace him with? If you say A.J. McCarron, you lose all credibility as you are saying you are going to replace a guy who has never had a non-playoff season with a guy who has never started an NFL game. None of the other guys you mentioned will be available.
