I've never said anything bad about the ram program. I have said before I respect the ram program and as a west fan I wish our program was as successful as the Rams. What I have a problem with is people not being objective about their football comments. Being subjective and objective are two totally different things. I will have to quote Harry Truman on this one " I don't give them hell. I just tell the truth about them and they think it's hell."

I understand your confusion. Here's the argument: When a team wins the district on a regular basis, that team, and it's fan base, come to expect that District Title. When a team wins two consecutive Regional Titles and advance to State Semi-Finals, that team and it's fan base expect to win the Regional Titles and advance to the State Semi-Finals. And, along with those expectations, that team, and it's fan base, see the potential and expect to advance to, and possible win, State Championships. It's the normal progression of a program.

 

Now, when a team, and it's fan base, are working toward having a winning season, they may think the chances of a State Championship are unattainable.

 

Two different scenarios. What may be "unrealistic expectations" for one program, are a normal progression for another.

Considerably more than 4, at around 20 losing seasons (i counted briefly). But even still, for a program that is 88 years old, that isnt half bad. Another thing I would like to point out, since 1983, Raceland has only had 4 head coaches. I dont look for that pattern to change any time soon. Unless Grizzle gets an offer he can not refuse as a HC somewhere, I think he could quite possibly be the HC in waiting. I know alot of people around and with in the program think the same thing.

I can honestly agree with you on that. Grizzle has some great football knowledge when it comes to the offense. Now on defense, he may just have to find a DC! Lol. In all seriousness, Salmons will be at Raceland until he doesn't feel like being there anymore. He's a Ram. And that's what they want in the coaching staff.

Raceland played Ashland closer than Russell did. I would give Russell a slight edge over the Rams at this point. But if Raceland plays well they could certainly win that one.

There you are and as for your post .... O.K., if you say so. Ram made the statement and I 100% agree, we know who to respect and we do and as for anything else, we don't care about the haters. Everyone pretty much figures those out on their own with no much problem.

(and btw, before you say it. I did not say you were a hater .. so whether you be an actual Comet fan or a closet Fairview person, as you at times do seem to seem to sound like on post on their threads, maybe - maybe not but at any rate ... good luck )
