Different style team this year. Mainly ground and pound and that was effective against Fairview but the defense of line let up and we missed a couple of guys due to injury and not being 100%. Fairview has beat us straight up they were the better team last night. Why in the name of Vince Lombardi do you keep bringing the stuff up? The comets had their shot , gave us a scare but we managed to put them away holding Braeho gave us a scare but we managed to put them away holding Brown to -4 yards in the second half. I appreciate anyone's input on here, but can we find another dead horse to kick?

I guess Bellevue isnt the team they were 25 years ago because they dont have the Sutkamp brothers back this year. All i am saying is last years seniors are gone and so are every other team's. Some were "it" factors, other ls were not missed as badly. New year new team, why do we keep talking about how much everyone misses anyone. The rosters are as they are.

Fleming/Russell is in the conversation but weather and injuries played a huge role.....all was even Friday night and I give the "upset of the year" to fairview.

Just my luck ! I was out of town for a week and the Eagles beat the Rams. Wow, maybe this is one of the last few wins over these guys that I can be happy or proud about ! All but one of the Hunt/Ashland TTA recruits are gone I believe. Way to go Eagles ! One thing that I would like to remind all the Fairview fans about is this, yes it was great to beat our rival but before you go talking it too much (other than a day or so) I would look at the overall series / games W-L record with the Rams and not talk too much. Have fun, celebrate this one but come Monday, it's time to move on. Hell, I even had to jab a little with a couple of friends from Raceland.

Good Luck to the Rams this week and the rest of the season, you guys are a class act. Raceland has a great program that we would like to have along with good people, fans there.

First of All ... Conrats and a tip of my Ram cap to the Fairview kids ! Fairiew DESERVED to win. Raceland came in flat, were severely out played, out DESIRED. Fairview wanted ths more than Raceland. ... period ! Even when Raeland roared back, took a lead very late, Fairview came back, made the plays and got it done.

No crying,.... to the Eagle players and fans - you played one helluva game ! Congrats again to the team from Westwood :sssh: .... from this old fart called oldrambler. :thumb:

Thanks for clearing that up. As I said, regardless if it was or not, a good or bad play call it shouldn't have mattered or even came down to that. That kick decision shouldn't had even existed if we would have played like we have in most every game this season. I personally thought our kids were way overlooking the team n Westwood. From what I understand they thought all they had to do is show up and as you and I both know, that's a loss every time.

^^ My statement in the previous post about overlooking wasn't meant to take anything away from Westwood, they flat out played us. The Eagles probably played their best game of the season, maybe in a couple of seasons. I meant that as most thought .... Raceland has a better football team than was shown last night and if the kids hadn't came out flat and didn't decide to start playing until the 4th qtr. then the outcome may have been different. First time in a long time that I was disappointed in the Rams performance and desire.... even in a earlier losses and in previous seasons I thought the Rams played with heart and desire. I will Never be embarrassed by the Rams, way too much love and pride for that but I was a little disappointed in this one loss.

 

NOW ...I want the Rams to wake up, get their heads straight and roll into P-town next Friday a re focused team an ready to make a statement.

Vanderhoof understood what he had and had a game plan based on his players. Salmons doesn't seem to have that I'm still confused on why Grizzle isn't calling plays he knows this offense better than anyone out there on the staff

Yes sir Far and away comet, injuries were a factor in the Russell/Fleming game. Injuries were also a key factor in the Fairview/Raceland game. Christian only played defense because of an injury and Clark,a starting DB,left the game in the 1st qtr with a shoulder injury.

Also starting DE Morgan Carmen who if I'm not mistaken is the Rams leader in tackles didn't play for undisclosed reasons. You should remember him well, he had several against your Comets.

Still Fairview did what they had to do to win the game, can't take anything away from their players and coaching staff.

But to say that this game was a bigger upset is almost laughable ! ! ! !

Is Sammons in trouble At Raceland? I know he had good year last year with TJ Maynard's players and you can't judge off one game but you got beat by a below average fairview team. Fairview defense isn't very good and only managed 22 points and several key little league coaching errors in the game. I doubt they will do anything since he's a ram and played there but just curious if this continues what may happen.

I know that you were a huge supporter of the McPeeks at Fairview but why are you using a Raceland thread and question about their coach to add in you cheap insults to Fairview because the Coaches at Fairview were right in with Musik on everything that happened here. Everyone knows it and it seems all but you are trying to get past it. We obviously had one heck of a ball game until this cheap shot at both schools.
