Beechwood 5 Harrison County 1 (Game 2 Beechwood advances)

Featured Replies

Oh, so they are both supposed to go to the pitcher while he is about to throw the ball....

You can try to twist it any way you want, but it showed zero class.

Yeah yeah yeah, if he was about to throw the ball I am sure the umpires would have said something.

Good luck to Beechwood.

Harrison's coach has a history of tossing or rolling foul or HR balls to his dugout while a game is going on. I guess he feels with all his history that he has the right.

Just to clarify a few things for you HT2005....I'm not with Beechwood and wasn't even at the game, just asking a question.

If a coach, throws Baseballs onto the field, during when the play is "Live", it's certainly not where they were supposed to go....:thumb:

He was throwing them across to the dugout. You guys make it sound as if he threw them at Curley. Get Real!

Like I said, I'm sorry I forgot thats where all the balls belong. I wont let it happen again.

Again, I was not a this Sectional (I attended another one) and I just asked a question, why were the Baseballs thrown onto the field.
Best of luck to Beechwood.

Call out a "legendary" coach and everyone gets defensive. Honestly, it's about time. I've been witnessing it since the early 90's. He's a great baseball coach, I'll give him that. Some of his tactics are a bit much though.

For the record, STRIKE3 and myself are not "Beechwood fans" but we are baseball fans and like to see things done the right way.:thumb:

How do the umpires not say a word in that situation? If the coach throws them any closer to Curley theres a possibility he steps on one and gets hurt. Thats completely BUSH!

Reality?!

Here is a list of the players that have been drafted from Harrison Co. and the # of state titles they won.

1. Chris Snopek- 0 state titles

2. Shon Walker (Mr. Baseball)- 0 state titles

3. Jody Crump- 0 state titles

4. Brad Allison- 0 state titles

5. Noochie Varner- 2 state titles, one as a junior one as a senior.

That's a lot of talent and not very many state titles. That's why people say Coach Whitaker gets it done with "spotty" talent.

My mistake, there were 5 kids drafted. Still 2 of 3 state championships with Varner and if memory serves me JB Schmidt, Asbury...etc.

Again, he can coach...no doubt. It's the other stuff he pulls that bothers me.

You are so sensitive:p

I don't think one person here said they were thrown at Curley. Regardless if they were thrown at Curley or not, they were evidently thrown across the field during play. That is the issue stated.

Maybe he should coach hockey? He could order the Zambonni to "go clean the ice in front of his goal" if the other team gets a breakaway!! :D :D

LOL I can't imagine what everyone would be crying about if Beechwood had lost!:D I don't think there are any umpires around that would allow a coach to throw balls across the field during play. However, I was witness and so was anyone who was there to the fact that the Beechwood Coach was on the field while the ball was apparently still live. Did you not see him make contact with the umpire? And while this was going on the runner advanced. Now that did happen and it was questioned to no avail since it happened to the 9th Region umpire. There was no question or concern about the baseballs being returned to the 1st base dugout because no one was on base and it was between pitches.

With all due respect the only one that sounds like there whining is you.....people are simply stating a fact that throwing a ball across the field during play at ANY TIME is bush league i dont care who you are

Lets get it back to the game and away from each other...thanks:irked:
