Breds are in a really tough spot now.

Bankemper went 4 without getting hit very hard. I think there were some passed balls that hurt him. Elliott pitched 5, 6, and 7. He gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to allow Harrison Co. to tie it up. Moore came in and I think struck out 3 guys on 9 pitches in the 8th.

 

Johnson got a single and stole second in the 9th. Baker singled him in for the winning run.

Sounds like it was a great game.

Moore can come back tomorrow but you might see Curley instead. I guess it depends on how Chas bounces back.

If all you have to win is two, then I would think that Curley would be starting on Thursday. Bring in the gun and shut them down.. Go Tigers......

 

Still can't understand why you would start a game at 6pm when the other team is at least an hour's drive away (55 miles per AAA), and from what I understand the lights are great at Harrison County...... Who's call was it, Harrison County? I really don't think the KHSAA had a say in the starting time......

 

O well, I guess I will just go to the East/West Football game at BW instead.....

Good game on the Hilltop tonight. Harrison had their chances and just didn't execute on several occasions. Hats off to 8th grader Jarrod Martin on a super job in relief. He took the loss, but allowed only 1 run in 5 innings.

IMO, if Harrison Co. had a chance to win a game, it was last nights. Not saying they can't beat Moore and/or Curley because we all know anything can happen. However, when you have 1 out, bases loaded, 3-0 Count in a tie game, in the bottom of the 7th and a sophomore on the mound and don't score...not sure you'll be able to get it done against Moore and Curley.

 

Last night was a good baseball game. Defensively it was played well. I thought it would take 6 runs and it did.

 

For the record, Cody Elliott has some STONES!!!

Great game and really nice field and facilities. Still trying to get my breathing and heart rate under control.
