I don't think the records factor in here because of schedule strength, or lack there of. But Brossart does seem like they have found a way to win the close games so far and I would expect this to be a close game.

It is homecoming at Ludlow and there will be large crowds. If this is a close game, the Panthers might pull one out.

 

BTW, if you haven't been to a game at Ludlow; homecoming is the one to go to. I've been to many other homecomings and Ludlow's is one of the best :-)

Nice bounce back season for Brossart.

I've been to a couple HS games at Ludlow and it is a great place and atmosphere to watch a game. I've not been there for Homecoming but have heard they do a very nice job!

This game will be another major challenge for our Mustangs.

 

These two teams have always played competitively, and I expect nothing else again this year. Ludlow, who probably consider themselves superior, yet unranked, will be hungry to make a statement in this one. They will want nothing more than to hand the 5-0 upstarts their first loss.

 

The Mustangs will have to be up to the challenge, play strong fundamental football, limit turnovers while forcing a few, put points on the board and play solid defense. That has been their recipe for success all season-long.

 

This team continues to impress me on a weekly basis. We have good football players in each key position who play with confidence and have gotten the job done. With the Panthers coming off of a loss, playing at home, and celebrating homecoming, they will be a load. Once again we will be tested to find out how really good we are.

This should be Brossarts toughest game so far this season. I believe Brossart has only beaten Ludlow once ever. However the past doesn't matter because both teams are having a good year so far, this should be a fun game to watch.

Many expected Ludlow to pull off the win. I agree that Williamsburg is a good team and their schedule has much to do with their record. Just stating the talk of the watercooler.

That was Williamsburg's first win of the year. They lost almost every starter off last year's team so that team has nothing to do with this year. Because of that, I can see how that was considered a surprising loss.

 

This is one of the games I am most interested in this week. I think Ludlow is going to get the win.

Ludlow 61 Trimble County 12

This one could go either way. Ludlow will be the best team Brossart has played so far this year. There is a very severe dropoff in 1A once you get past the top teams and the rest can pretty much beat each other and would not come close to beating the top teams.

Ludlow is tough at home on the grass that will likely be wet. Turnovers will be HUGE. Can't give up any short fields. With Bellevue having fallen off the map Ludlow could be a #2 seed in NKY district and what the heck Brossart could be a #2 seed in their district.

I agree when it's stated "this game" should be their toughest test. But if you go back and look at Brossart's threads that same statement is made every week. Beating Bellevue was suppose to make them legit. Beating Nicholas Co was suppose to make them legit. No one gave them a chance against Aiken. If they beat Ludlow are they legit or does that sentiment follow them to the next week? I'm not taking anything away from Ludlow, they are a good 1A team, but so is Brossart.
