September 28, 201511 yr I got to thinking about this yesterday. Would I be able to complete 1 NFL pass? I don't believe I could. There have to be some stipulations. You can't take a pass out of shotgun and toss it forward behind the LOS. No screen passes. Let's say you have to hit a receiver at least 5 yards down the field (ball would be traveling at least 10-15 yards once you consider a drop back), and we are talking a real completion. Not a jump ball where the WR makes the play.
September 28, 201511 yr Author To me it is not much about completing the pass as it is processing everything that goes on around you. How the NFL disguises would have you throwing picks left and right. Only thing I could hope for would be man coverage and to hit a slant pattern to a WR that gets a step.
September 28, 201511 yr Yes. Anyone who says they couldn't I don't want you on my two hand touch team. Akili Smith even completed a pass in the NFL. If you can throw a football then you can complete a pass. Not saying on your first try, but I guarantee you if you can throw a spiral 5 yards down field then you can complete a pass. It's not rocket science guys. Give me the Cowboys O-Line and I will complete a pass 5 yards down field.

And sure, you can have solid protection and attempt all 3-4 downs of a series.

Maybe just chuck it up to wr running a fade, with my old man noodle arm, it would look like a back shoulder throw:sssh:
September 28, 201511 yr I'm actually going to take my answer back. I could definitely complete a pass, it would just be to the wrong team. :lol2:
September 28, 201511 yr I think you could probably hit a TE for a quick pass in the middle but nothing on the outsides.
September 28, 201511 yr If I had to take a snap from under center, I would guess I wouldn't even get a pass off. Time I dropped back and just tried to find a receiver, I would be hit.

Not rocket science, the single most difficult position in sports, IMO, and the biggest reason is mentally how fast you have to process everything. Remember you can only see parts of the defenders and parts of your receivers because of all the action taking place in your face between the lineman. Unless you are about a foot taller than everyone else on the field can you see over the defense.
September 28, 201511 yr There's no way I could get enough zip on a ball to complete anything outside or a longer route. Maybe a quick timing slant/curl or something.
