Excuses are for Losers, both teams play on the same field, so tired of people saying that, not getting on you but I've heard that time & time again, the best team will win, the field doesn't matter, they could play it in the parking lot! Lol

Sorry if you have gone over this, but has it been determined if Wakefield will play on Friday or will his injury keep him out?

Trinity had a difficult time corraling Lafayette's QB even though the defensive pressure was good. I know Male's QB is a good passer. Is he also a good scrambler?

Exactly the way I was told the bracket is set up this year. For this group of Seniors at Trinity, if we play at Male in the playoffs, it will be our 6th trip to the Male campus and only hosted the Bulldogs at Trinity 1 time. That is pretty rare.

 

Tough place to play at Male. Natural playing surface with amazing student support. Definitely a home field advantage.

FYI: Game is kicking off 5 minutes late for a 9/11 ceremony (well done H). Treat it like church and be in your seats by 7:30.

I am betting T's student section (which has been off the chart this season) will be as large as H's. This will be an electric night. I hoping for 35-21 Trinity, and furthermore hoping everyone on both sides (players/fans/parents) behave themselves and remember it is a high school football game.

Expect a very great game from both teams, but I say Trinity edges this win out.

Yes, Hayden Shelton can run, he's a great athlete, he brings a new wrinkle to Male's offense, Mattingly wasn't mobile for them last year. They will definitely throw some designed qb draws etc in there for Friday night, always tough to deal w/ a running qb for sure, will be a great test for the Rocks D!

Male isn't the only team/school to chant something of this nature. I remember local schools making the same comments in basketball and football for as long as I can remember. Expect to hear it more now that we are playing a traditional local schedule again. Do we like it...no. But, Male isn't the only school doing it.

 

No matter how you you look at the situation, Male has shown a great deal of school spirit and created an electric Friday night atmosphere. That is a lot more than you can say when you look at other schools...wait and see over the next several weeks.

 

I'll say it again, this is the 5th trip for our Seniors to the Male campus. You just don't hear about stuff like that very often. Like it or not, the Male students make a great Friday night atmosphere.

 

The T football guys have been super impressed with our student support as well. I agree we expect a huge turnout and hope to match Male. Just remember the guys inside the lines have to play the game. That was pretty ugly last year!

I wish I was going. Titanic match up with good coaching and 2 programs who "care".

I have a sneaky feeling Male is going to win. Lord, I hope I'm wrong. Male is not getting the love it deserves on this thread IMO.

I don't think Trinity's QB last year had a problem with the Male field/fans or weather. Takes a pretty touch hombre to overcome. Hopefully Jake will be able to do the same this year. I know he is a great competitor. Go Rocks.
