I'm by no means the grammar/spelling expert, but would someone please explain the difference between "lose" and "loose". It's not a typo, it is repeated in several post dating back to last season. I cringe each time I see it, and frankly it is like taking a rear end chewing from someone with a kool-aid mustache. You just "loose" all seriousness and validity. Sorry in advance, I couldn't resist.

6A is a whole different level of numerical talent. Cooper just doesn't have the numbers yet in a "football" aspect. Now, if they can get some of those Golf, Baseball, Bowling, and Basketball players to play, it would be a bit different. All the boys can do is play where they are placed, and do their best. Play to get to the next level after high school, and 6A does that, but Cooper has to have a better showing than what they had tonight. By the way Guru, what are the possibilities of Boone dropping to 5A? (I don't know their numbers, that's why I ask)

 

You may have better luck recruiting from the boys' soccer team. Some of the best athletes in the school are on the pitch. They have speed, endurance, agility, skill, and occasionally you find some big bodies. I know the soccer teams at Boone over the last several years would have produced some quality football talent.

 

One more quality they have is tenaciousness. They compete for 80 minutes and sometimes only score 1 or 2 goals. They HAVE to keep fighting all the way to the final whistle.

You continue to harp in what a stupid decision it was for Cooper to move up. Seriously Rob, what NKY team will ever have a shot at winning state in 6A? The answer is none. So why continue to put down a school that chose to compete against the best in the state? I have no problem with it at all.

 

Boone county schools already have a huge disadvantage than most other schools in the state so it really doesn't matter what class they are in. Why sound like a broken record every time and post the same thing? Do you think SK will win a title? Not even close! Highlands got blown out twice in 3 games, why aren't you saying they made aintake moving up? What about CCH?

This is a post clearly making the case that no team in NKY should ever be moving up to 6A.

There have been some really good 6A teams in NKY recently and yet the trophy case is still empty. Those Ryle teams were really good, SK put together some good teams, Dixie was good last year. In the end, hard to do much with the goliaths.

It's pointing out the hypocrisy. Both teams petitioned to move up to a higher class both lost big (HHS Twice) is the point I was making. Why call out 1 team

when others chose to move up in classes also who probably ate in the same

I think we're praying at the same pulpit. All of the NKY 6A teams will be underdogs to Jeff Co. as will the Lexington teams and the West KY teams. It's silly to think this is just an NKY issue.

No we are not, Dixie was smart enough to get out of Dodge, others that shall remain unnamed (is that better everyone) chose the 6A poison.

I think 5A is plenty the challenge for Cooper, Conner, and Boone.

There is nothing wrong with a challenge if you can benefit from it. Is Cooper benefitting for playing in 6A? I think not. In 5A they would have a real chance of bringing home a state champ trophy. In 6A all they can say is we played the best and lost, or, we beat Highlands, but sadly there is no trophy for that. Seriously, good luck to Cooper for the rest of the season.

With population continuing to grow in Boone, won't Cooper and Conner have to be in 6A soon anyway? Those guys would have made on heck of a 5A group, along with Dixie, if they'd stayed down.
